TESTS : 2 official pre-season and 1 mid-season “club test races”. TIRES : 2 types “Dry” and “Wet”, supplied by Michelin. Restricted to 4 new slick tires per car per event. FORMAT : 4 SPECTACULAR RACES PER WEEK-END • Friday morning Technical inspections • Friday afternoon Practice 1 (30 min ELITE 1 / 5 min / 30 min ELITE 2) Practice 2 (30 min ELITE 1 / 5 min / 30 min ELITE 2) • Saturday morning ELITE 1 and ELITE 2 Qualifyings • Saturday mid-day ELITE 2 Race 1 • Saturday afternoon ELITE 2 Race 2 • Sunday mid-day ELITE 1 Race 1 • Sunday afternoon ELITE 1 Race 2 QUALIFICATIONS • ELITE 1 and ELITE 2 Qualifying Practices are run on the same format. • Road Course tracks : 8 min Q1 followed by 5 min Superpole for Top 12 of Q1. • Oval Speedways : 1 car alone on track for 2 flying laps. RACES • The 4 races are run on the same format. • Race distance : approx. 65 km / 40 mi. each with NASCAR Style rolling start. • Multiple use of the safety car and NASCAR Style double file restarts. • NASCAR Green / White / Checkered procedures to end the race (if needed). SPOTTERS • Radio communication system and dedicated Spotter for every car. • Race Control call the race directly to drivers via spotters : cautions, penalties… • Spotters help drivers in the traffic and prevent incidents. • Every fans and guests can access and listen Race Control and drivers radios. POINTS SCORING • Following the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standards : Winner 43, 2nd 42, 41, 40 …. 2, 1 point for the 43rd and last driver. • Bonus points : +3 for Victory / +1 for the first lap led / +1 for most lap led. OVER 250 000 $ PRIZE MONEY • ELITE 1 and ELITE 2 champions and each Trophy winners win a NASCAR race in the USA. • Prize money for teams and drivers at each race.
