BUZZED BULL CREAMERY
A Toast to Dessert
Advertisement
Why get a cocktail and dessert when you can combine both into one fabulous creation? At the new Buzzed Bull Creamery in Old Town Scottsdale, grab alcohol-infused ice cream and milkshakes that start at 5% ABV (for adults only, of course!). Prefer alcohol-free options? They have those, as well. So—besides the alcohol—what’s all the buzz about? Here they harnesses the power of liquid nitrogen to create fresh, premium ice creams. There is a menu of options such as the Death By Chocolate, Buzzed Bull Margarita, and Cherry Cordial, or guests can create their own customized, hand-crafted creation from a selection of numerous flavors and mix-in toppings. And, for those who can’t—or don’t want to—choose just one flavor, the monthly Flight Flavors will hit the spot. 7135 E. Camelback Road, Scottsdale; www.buzzedbullcreamery.com
Drink, Eat, Play
In Downtown Phoenix, a new three-in-one concept opened its door just last month: Palma, Châm Pang Lanes, and Ghost Donkey are all housed together on the area’s popular Roosevelt Row—a walkable arts district that’s home to art galleries, restaurants, bars, and shops.
All three are casual, yet elevated restaurants and cocktail bars.
At Ghost Donkey, which first opened its doors in New York City in 2016, try a craft cocktail, haute nachos, or elevated Mexican street food. Meanwhile, Châm Pang Lanes offers a utopian escape filled with champagne, fried chicken, duckpin bowling, pool tables, and pinball. And at Palma, find an urban botanical sanctuary of a reimagined watering hole, complete with a nursery of palm trees and Asian cuisine. 903 N. 2nd St., Phoenix; www.ghostdonkeyphx.com; www.champanglanes.com; www.palmaphx.com

WHERE NOW Cocktails Done Differently
Why does an award-winning cocktail bar now have an ultrasonic jewelry-cleaning machine at its locale? That would be a result of months of behind-the-scenes science lab-style testing that owner Aaron DeFeo and his bartending team put into developing the locale’s eight new cocktails.
As is Little Rituals’ style, these are not your everyday cocktails.
Take, for instance, the Ponzi Scheme, a Manhattan-style cocktail featuring subtly citrusy, yet spicy notes thanks to marigold flower-infused Rare Eagle Bourbon. Not only are the flowers infused and micro-filtered, but there’s a lemon-peel garnish embedded with a keepsake Little Rituals coin.
And what about that industrial-grade ultrasonic jewelry cleaning machine? It turns out the temperature-controlled micro agitation is perfect for wholly infusing disparate ingredients right in the bottle, such as the mezcal + lime leaf in the new Pleasure Island cocktail. 132 S. Central Ave., Phoenix; (inside the Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Downtown); www.littleritualsbar.com
