Honoring America’s Veterans: Parades and Celebrations On Nov. 11—and the days around it—the Valley of the Sun joins in on honoring and celebrating United States military veterans.

Events include executive roundtables, an employment summit, a job fair, workshops and Bridge Forum. (www.herozonasummit.com) The Town of Carefree hosts several events beginning the weekend prior, including a Charity 3 Miler that starts at Carefree Town Hall at 9 am on Nov. 9. All ages and abilities are welcome— as are pets—to walk or run either 1 or 3 miles around the Carefree Desert Gardens and downtown Carefree. Proceeds from this event benefit Helping Hands for Freedom and other veterans charities.
