Using Microsoft Word To print and resize digital images
Open a new document. Select Insert and then click picture, find the image you want and click to open. To resize just select the image and then with your mouse drag a corner out to make it larger or push a corner in to make it smaller. Print and color. If you want to create more effects on the image before printing, choose format and from there you can add frames or crop the image, or rotate to flip the direction, and even add different artistic effects. There is also an option to change the line color, so if you wanted to do the no lines coloring technique you would select that option and find a line color you like and select it. Once you are happy with the image, print for your project and then close the document. You can save to print again or just delete. If you aren't happy with any changes you have made, from the format tab you can choose reset picture to go back to the original image. Word can do many different things, but if you have photo editing programs you will be able to more easily work with digital images, including merging images together before printing.

Digital Merging Having fun merging digital images with digital papers! Tutorial by Michelle Oatman Step 1: I started off with a really cute image and my Adobe Photoshop Elements. Baby Ellie - Isn’t she adorable? Now once you open up the image in the Adobe Photoshop program you will see that the background has a checkered pattern, this means the image is “clear” in the background.
Step 2: I chose one of Whimsy Stamps Blue and Pink Mix collection. A nice dotted blue pattern. Open a new page with the pattern paper. www.whimsystamps.com
9
Whimsy Stamps, LLC
Step 3: You will now show two open pages, drag the pattern paper page to the page with the image, sometimes it may drop in and not be the correct size. But there will be size buttons on each size to drag into the correct size.
Step 4: The pattern paper will fill the checkered area. Then you can print your image! Once printed, you can color with your favorite medium. I chose my Copic markers. TIP: Be careful when using a watercolor product, the ink from your background printing may run. www.whimsystamps.com

Photoshop Using photoshop can be very hard at first but it is really very simple once you know how to use it. I have written a few simple steps and images anyone should be able to follow.
Step 1: Open up the program and select edit, and then add the files you want to use. I simply drag them into the widnow and they should all apprear on the screen. You can see I added 6 images into my Photoshop. This is what I am going to use to make a full sheet to print out. Click file at the top of the screen, then NEW, and then BLANK FILE.
Step 2: name you blank file if you want too, and also make sure you pick A4 international for the correct measurements for printing out this is preset so you dont need to mess with the sizes
Turn to page 32 for supplies

Step 3: You should now have a blank white page on your photoshop screen now we are ready to add something to it
Step 4: Click the images sheet you want to use, I have picked the English Gentleman digital sheet to work with first. On your left had side you will see your tool bar you need to select RECTANGLUR MARQUEE TOOL.
Step 5: Drag your RECTANGLUR MARQUEE box around the image you want to copy, press CTRL and c, this will copy this image, and then go to your blank page and press CTRL and v and this will paste thw image.

Step 6: Now you have the image on the page you can move it about. Go to the top of the tool bar you will see the MOVE TOOL, click this and then click your image, you should now be able to move this anywhere on your page.
Step 7: Fill up your A4 page with all the images you would like to use. You can even put an image or sentiment on the digital paper itself. When you have played in Photshop and you see how easy it is do to things, you will use lots of digital images. It’s so fun and you can create some amazing one of a kind projects.
TIP: Always remeber to click the layer you want to move or to work on. It’s always the one that is highlighted in your layers window.

Final Step: When you are happy and have everything the way you want on your sheet, go to file at the top and on the pull down menu click print. Your sheet should print perfectly. iI you want to save this sheet click save. I always save mine to my desktop this way I can find them easily if I want to print again.

Supplies needed: card blank, Blue & Pink Mix Papers, pale blue card for sky, clouds die cuts, waves die cuts, sentiment and Winnifred Whale.
Cut the slider section from the pale blue card.

Add the wave die cuts, remembering to cut off any overlap over the slider die cut. For the waves in front of the slider part, attach with foam tape, so Winnifred can move between the waves. Attach the circles of card for the slider with layers of foam tape between.
Add the clouds.

Color in Winnifred and fussy cut. I used Copic markers and added a pale blue for the waves over her body.
Attach Winnifred to the slider circle and tuck her behind the first layer of waves. Attach the pale blue layer with foam pads to allow the slider to move. I also added some more wave die cuts behind the slider opening onto the mounted layer. Add the sentiment and some fish and she should be able to move around a little bit. If she gets stuck, make sure all the curly parts of the wave dies are stuck down fast and that the slider circle isn't catching on any of them.

Tutorial Making anything for men can be hard but I have designed a few sets of male images and text so let get creative. Everything I am making is aimed at any crafting level and you can add your own twist on things, never be afraid to try something new!

Step 1:
Cut tags shapes from either a die cut or freehand you could even buy some luggage tags, once you have the tags cut try adding some texture. You can see I have embossed one tag with and embossing folder which is very easy to do. I have also covered one in paper and as you can see there is a gap don't worry I will fill it in later with a scrap piece of corrugated card. My 3rd tag I have added texture with frayed burlap distress ink and the vintage background stamps. I love this stamps set and it’s so perfect for this sort of project. Step 2:
Once you have a base layer done add some more stamping and inking. On the embossed tag you can simply run the ink pad over the top it will pick up all the texture and give you a fabulous instant effect. On the other tags keep stamping until you have the effect you are happy with. You will see I cut the top of one of my tags, this is will show you, you can also make a card topper this way, turn a tag into a topper, and you will always have something to add onto the front of a card. I keep a lot of these in stock as they are quick and fun to make.

Step 3:
Cut some images from the printed digital sheets you have. You can cut around the images or leave them in a square shape, whatever you think you want to work with, let your own creativity shine. Play about with an arrangement until you are happy. Then ink and stamp your images if you want to, I did as I wanted to blend in with my tag.

34
Whimsy Stamps, LLC
Step 4:
Once you are happy with how everything looks, start to stick down your layers, to add dimension use 3d foam pads or silicone glue to make your project 3d, Or just stick flat with glue. finishing touches, after you have added a sentiment, you can add other little extra things like ribbon, buttons metal embellishments and die cuts, you can have so much fun experimenting so make sure you try something new!

Tutorial We very often have to make flat cards for mailing as postage costs continue to rise and it can get quite expensive to post a very embellished card. Here are a few ideas for fabulous flat cards, very easy to make in under 1 hour.
Supplies Used: Goldfish Gunther and Fishy sentiments, Boys and Toys papers and sentiments, Teen Boy papers and sentiments

Step 1: Make your card designs in Photoshop. Very easy to do but if you are not sure, take a look at the photoshop tutorial on page 14. You can see I am using a full mix of images, all digital images and sets. Once you have your design ready print it out and you are ready to go.
Step 2: This is the same for all 3 cards, cut coordinating card stock to match the images, my base cards are always 6x6inches and my measurement goes down by 1/4 inch each time. This gives a great look and easy to remember.

38
Whimsy Stamps, LLC
Step 3: Once you have cut everything either ink the edges or distress them, this will add a little depth to the card while not adding much height, then stick your layers together. These are very simple cards and shouldn't take long to put together.
Step 4: Add your finishing touches - you can add some stitching this will add a little extra to make your card pop, whilst keeping it flat for posting.
