The SLRD is a BC Regional District consisting of four member municipalities (Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Lillooet) and four electoral areas. Services include land use planning, solid waste management, building inspection, fire protection, emergency preparedness, 911 services, recreation, water and sewer utilities, regional transit, trails and open spaces as well as financial support for various community services.
The region contains some of the most spectacular forests, waterways, and mountains in the province and affords an endless range of opportunities for outdoor adventure, making it an exceptional place to live, work and play.
The SLRD is seeking an experienced individual to fill the regular, full-time position of Project Manager. Reporting to the Director of Environmental Services, the Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of the SLRD’s capital and infrastructure projects including new construction, renewal, alteration, rehabilitation or improvements to underground utilities, transportation infrastructure, parks, buildings and facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in civil engineering, engineering technology, project management, construction management or related field and a minimum of 5 years of recent experience managing construction, infrastructure, and/or public works projects (an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered).
