Annual exhibition: Sea Peoples: Navigating the

Pacific. Blue water sailing in the vast Pacific Ocean demands accurate navigation. Done poorly, it could be catastrophic, as many vanished ships and wrecks testify. This exhibition explores Pacific sailing with both Polynesians and Europeans. WHITBY MUSEUM & PANNETT ART GALLERY At Pannett Park Opening times: 10.00am – 4.30pm Tues – Sun. Closed Mon. Current Exhibition: John Tindale: A Vision of Whitby capturing the life and work of this local photographer and champion of Whitby including four incredible films which incorporate John Tindale’s images and interviews with local characters teamed with Yorkshire Archive film footage. The exhibition also features the full twentieth century of Whitby Gazettes which have been digitized to be fully searchable. Art Gallery admission – free to all.
