YOU VISITED THE NEW AND IMPROVED WHITBY ADVERTISER WEBSITE?
Earlier this year, the Whitby Advertiser launched its new website - have you visited it yet? The website can be found at www. whitbyadvertiser.co.uk and has many new features. It is easy to navigate and find what you want, whether you are out and about using your mobile phone or tablet, or at home on your computer. Here is a quick guide to what you will find.
Business Directory
A comprehensive business directory that works for both businesses and customers. Trying to find the telephone number of a business but don’t have a copy of the Advertiser to hand? Or need quotes from local plumbers for your bathroom refit and want ideas who to contact? Our online business directory is the place to go. It’s fully searchable so you can quickly find what you are looking for. If you are a business advertising with us, an entry in our online business directory to promote your company and its products and services is free, and is the best way to get your business known not only in town but much further afield, for example, a holiday let owner living elsewhere in the UK or even abroad can find local tradesmen all in one place by checking the business directory. Very useful and time saving indeed!

The Community pages also contains many articles which we hope will be of interest to you. Recent articles added include how a local man has raised vital funds for the work of St Catherine’s Hospice, and local communities giving the NHS a ‘Health Check’ for its 75th Anniversary. If you are a local community organisation and would like to submit an article and update everyone with news on what you are doing, please email us at info@whitbyadvertiser. co.uk. Articles such as entertainment, sports, the work of local charities as well as those of general interest are always welcome.
