Regeneration John 3:3 ‌.Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God; Regeneration is the spiritual rebirth for all believers as this is the foundational teaching of the Christian faith. Our scripture text tells us that without regeneration we cannot see the kingdom of God; therefore, regeneration is necessary for the believer to enter into God's kingdom. Why is regeneration necessary? Let's look at the following: 1. Prior to regeneration we were all sinners and were spiritually dead because of sin (Romans 6:23) and lacked the ability to live for and pleasing to God. The regenerated believer has been freed from a life of bondage because of sin to a life of spiritual freedom where heaven is now the believer's final destination. 2. Regeneration represents a repentant heart one that have turned to God as there has been a transformation (Romans 12:1-2). Regeneration restores a broken fellowship between the believer and God; therefore, the regenerated believer can now live in obedience to God and His commandments. 3. The regenerated believer have accepted Christ as his or her personal Savior (v. 16) and His atoning works and now have the indwelling presence of God-the Holy Spirit residing in each of us to aid in our faith journey.
