The Faith Community Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine; and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and in prayers. Our lesson text describes who makes up the faith community; a body of baptized believers and how they came together in harmony and unity as they all were on one accord sharing a communal meal, praying and expounding on the Word of God. Our scripture text also shows the agape love that was expressed in the early church and is worthy of such affection in today's church. This is because the church is God's house where His Spirit dwells. It is noteworthy to say just as Christian leaders and laity develops a vertical relationship with God, then it is easy to develop a horizontal relationship with our fellow believers and all humanity. This is because the unsaved is God's creations as well and they have their being in Him. It is too noteworthy to say as the world witness the many expressions of God's love it too will desire to become a part of this community. This is because God created all humanity to be in fellowship with one another and a desire to be loved. As the faith community continues showing love through its sharing, giving and harmonious living is a powerful witness for the Lord to the world. Lastly, as the faith community remains focused on God, He becomes real as His presence is always near. The faith community that prays together stays together.
