The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Who is the Holy Spirit and what is His purpose and the reason? The Holy Spirit is God in the third person who was promised by Jesus Christ as He was preparing to return to heaven, and on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:2-4) He came and three thousand souls was added to the church. His primary purpose is to give power to witness Christ the world over as He lives in each believer. This power isn't physical power but authoritative power to continue the mighty work of kingdom building through the believer's witnessing. Being empowered with the Holy Spirit's power believers can boldly witness Christ beginning in our own Jerusalem and continuing until every lost soul has heard the Word and have the opportunity to come to Christ and be saved. Believers, we have great power in the Holy Spirit. Comments are welcome Author's contact white3285@sbcglobal.net http://willie-writing.blogspot.com www.shepherdministries.info.com
