Follow the yellow brick road and experience the magic of this beloved classic; the story of a young girl named Dorothy, who dreams of more than life on a small Kansas farm. When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog Toto are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. On their way to the Emerald City to get help from the Wizard of Oz they are joined by a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion.

A deft blend of romance, comedy, songs and fisticuffs make for a classic that has been delighting movie-goers for over 70 years.

The Songs of Eva Cassidy sold out The Songs of Eva Cassidy is a celebration of one of the great voices of the 20th Century and who better to pay tribute to this genius, than Australia’s own Silvie Paladino. Silvie is a popular concert performer and recording artist, and has starred in musicals such as Mamma Mia!, Cats and Les Misérables. She is also well known to Australian audiences as a regular on Carols by Candlelight. This show features Silvie’s inspired re-imaginings of such classic tunes as Over the Rainbow, Autumn Leaves, Time After Time, Bridge Over Troubled Water, What a Wonderful World and, of course, Songbird.
Utassy Ballet presents
Annual Performance Season Utassy proudly presents its 59th Season of Annual Junior and Senior School performances. The Junior feature ballet is our heart-warming rendition of The Pied Piper with set and costume designs (hand 21 November – 23 November dyed and painted) by Kevin Hayes. From the movers to the shakers, from the winners to the losers, the stage will be filled with uncanny impressions of the year’s most memorable characters and the moments they’d prefer to forget. Stalwart performer Drew Forsythe returns with special triple-threat guests including the hilarious Simon Burke. The choreography is tight, the wigs are loose, the punchlines are loaded. Everything is ready for a big night of laughter and mayhem.

The White Elk is a mythical figure of Hungarian Folklore which is said to have led the warriors and ancestors of the Hungarian people to their present fertile country from across the wastelands of Asia. Our ballet follows our two heroes, together with their band of warriors, as they are led by the White Elk on adventures through forest fairylands, wild woodlands, swamps and rivers, until they ultimately find fertile land of great beauty. Here they decide to stay and make their new homeland. The performance will involve various classical, jazz, tap, contemporary and international dance items.

Christmas with the Band The City of Whitehorse Band, conducted by Brian Kemp, invite you to join them to celebrate the festive season. They welcome actor and singer Angeline Thompson as their guest singer, whose credits include Offspring, Rush and Neighbours. In addition to the standard Christmas numbers, the band will also entertain you with music to remember – including items from the big band era and recent showstoppers.

Whitehorse Carols Enjoy performances from iconic entertainers Marina Prior, David Hobson and Michael Cormick. Santa and his elves will be there from 4.30pm for photos before leaving for his around-the-world sleigh ride.

Whitehorse Australia Day Concert and Fireworks
Chocolate Starfish will headline a fun filled night of entertainment, performing a special show featuring Whitehorse Civic some of INXS, Meatloaf and Queen’s Centre Precinct greatest hits. Performing all our Free Event favourite Aussie classics, former The Voice contestant, Michael Paynter will also be joining us, along with ACDShe and the Michelle Serret Band. The Kazoos will be back to delight the kids, as too will Wendy Stapleton, one of our favourite, long running emcees. This stunning night of entertainment will end with a 10-minute fireworks finale.
