Legally Blonde Spurned Sorority star Elle Woods doesn’t take “no” for an answer. She puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go to Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style. Featuring an all-inclusive cast from years 7–12.

The City of Whitehorse Band presents

Showcase 61 – An Afternoon of Memories The City of Whitehorse Band, under the baton of Brian Kemp, presents a concert of music from film, stage, Full $20 Conc $15 the Big Band era and of course brass band compositions. Compered by Frank Clancy, the Band is excited to introduce special guests Kean and Eager, a duo of accomplished musicians who will engage the audience with their entertaining presentation. A Viennese Morning

Tuesday 8 August 11am Morning tea commences at 10am

Take a stroll through the majestic Viennese alleyways to the music of the famous Austrian composer Robert Stolz. Sonia Anfiloff and Ben Connor, who have called Vienna their home over the last seven years, present this wondrous program – with Alan Hicks on piano. A morning full of wit, waltzes and fun incorporating music from the silver screen to Europe’s grand theatres and the deep cabaret basements of pre-WWII. Not to be missed!

Sands of Time Join Whitehorse Showtime 2017 and trek through the Sands of Time, marvelling at the adventures that await. Get an insight into a strange and awe-inspiring future, and join in the lawless escapades of the Wild West. There’s fun for the whole family! Scott Irwin, Derek Metzger and Ian Stenlake are tuxedo-clad crooners Morning tea bringing back the classic Vegas-like commences at 10am lounge show with a dynamic, modern Full $18 twist. Join them as they pay homage Group (10+) $16 to artists such as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and many more. Songs include Unchained Melody, Can’t Help Falling in Love and Someone Like You – a snappy, stylish production that will entertain and leave you wanting more!

Bakersfield Mist Is the true value of art in the eyes of the beholder? Gold Logie Award-winning actor John Wood is joined by his Blue Heeler colleague Julie Nihill in this drama/ comedy. Maude (Julie Nihill), an unemployed bartender, has bought a painting from an op shop. Despite almost trashing it, she now thinks it’s a Jackson Pollock and worth millions. In fact she’s certain it is! When worldclass art expert Lionel Percy (John Wood) arrives at her trailer park home in Bakersfield to authenticate the painting, he really has no idea what he’s about to discover. Based on a true story, Bakersfield Mist is a cracking play!

Peter and the Wolf

Utassy Ballet’s production of Peter and the Wolf always captures children’s imaginations. The intricacies of the friendship between Bird, Cat, Peter and Duck are cleverly portrayed – with the other characters adding further interest and drama. The accompanying ballet is ‘Carnival’ by Nick Enright. See the walking dinosaur, the speeding emu, the tortoise who is so slow, and of course the elephant! Hear the poems that give a unique Australian twist to the classic Carnival of the Animals music!

Thoroughly Modern Millie It’s 1922 and young Millie has come to New York City from Kansas, with the grand plan of finding a job as a Full $44 secretary for a wealthy man and then Conc $40 marrying him. The Wharf Revue: The Patriotic Rag The unstoppable comedic minds of Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe and Phillip Scott have been keeping the nation’s political and cultural leaders on their metaphorical toes since before Sydney hosted the Olympics. In 2017, they return with an up-to-the-minute, fibre-to-the-node dose of side-splitting sketches and rib-tickling songs. From the highs to the lows, from the good to the bad to the ugly, this will be a parade of the year’s most memorable characters and moments. So, whether you want to calm your nerves or double your disillusion, come along for a fresh serve of laughter, dance and foolishness. With The Wharf Revue on its way into town, there truly has never been a more exciting time to be alive!
