Bosom Buddies

Nancye Hayes and Todd McKenney are pals, chums, bosom buddies. Both are multi award winners and true showbiz legends. In this new show, they reflect on their stage careers and their lives off stage as well as on! They sing, they dance, and they reminisce – about the lows as well as the highs. They tell back stage stories never before told and they show video footage never before seen. This true story is, in turns, moving, poignant and hilarious. During each performance the audience is invited to ask the questions they’ve always wanted to ask. Answers guaranteed! Entertainers Kitty (Betty Grable) and Jack (Dan Dailey) make the move from radio to television in this dazzling film. Along the way they start a family via adoption – a process resulting in an oversupply of babies! Peppered with songs and dance, this musical romp includes an all-star cast.

Babirra Music Theatre presents

Singin’ in the Rain Singin’ in the Rain takes us back to the end of the silent movie era. While Lina Lamont was a star in the silent Full $45 movie versions, her less-than-dulcet Conc $41 tones make her quite unsuitable Child $37 for the new-fangled craze. The Group (10+) $41 interplay between her, leading man Don Lockwood and new star Kathy Selden, form the basis of this ever-popular story. Frankly Sinatra – A Tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes Music Theatre star Philip Gould and the award-winning Michelle Fitzmaurice team up to sing and dance their way through 22 hits of the Chairman of the Board... Frank Sinatra. The fascinating life story of Ol’ Blue Eyes is beautifully narrated and includes a backdrop of wonderful stills of his life on the big screen. Hits from the women in Sinatra’s life, including Nancy Sinatra, Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland will be highlighted, together with classic hits like My Way, Three Coins in a Fountain and Fly Me to the Moon.

Shirley Valentine Inside Mrs Joe Bradshaw is the former Shirley Valentine longing to emerge. Her self-esteem battered by school, marriage and life in general, she finds herself talking to the wall while her husband is out working. When her best friend wins an all-expenses-paid vacation to Greece for two, Shirley grasps the opportunity to head for the sun and leave her current drudgery behind to follow her dreams and get a new lease on life. The note she leaves in the kitchen reads “Gone to Greece, back in two weeks”. This beautiful show is a pure delight not to be missed.

Hotel Sorrento

Family is at the core of the award winning Hotel Sorrento, as we are taken on a wonderful journey of Full $50 humour and drama that tells the Conc $47 Under 25 $25 story of three sisters who grew up together in the seaside town, Sorrento. Hilary lives in the family home with her father and 16 year-old son. Pippa, a business woman, is visiting from New York and Meg, a successful writer, returns from England. When the three sisters are reunited in Sorrento after 10 years apart they again feel the constraints of family life. A semi-autobiographical book written by middle sister and expat Meg triggers the familial tensions and dramas that eventuate. Hotel Sorrento is about family in a literal and metaphorical sense and the importance of blood ties and collective memory, true or false. Saturday 14 July 2pm & 8pm

As flamboyant as maracas and as tender as I Honestly Love You, there promises to be roller skates, T-Birds, Pink Ladies, ‘80s jazzercise and an Oscar winning song to boot!
