CREATIVE BIO:
April Raymond is a young multidisciplinary creative and graduated from Whitehouse Institute of Design Australia in 2024 with a Bachelor of Design. Her work combines a feminine aesthetic with a strong focus on colour and creating authentic visual narratives across her photography, styling and illustration. Her creative direction takes influence from art history which has been a crucial element of her childhood and adult life. She is constantly inspired by the juxtaposition of art history and the current ideals in both art and fashion. Known for creating unique and dynamic content, April aims to showcase the world around her through her unique perspective.
DESIGN STATEMENT:
Exploring the aesthetics of Paris and the beauty of 19th-century French poetry, Éternité captures a moment of calm while taking a walk through the twisting streets of Paris. Through fashion and illustration, Éternité captures the interconnectivity of fashion and art by utilising motifs drawn from Romanticism and a feminine colour palette, to communicate the beauty of Paris and its poets, inviting you into Éternité’s world. “She’s gone again. Who? - Eternity. It’s fled with the sun and gone to the sea” - L’Éternité by Arthur Rimbaud.
