We all have done something for you, KAMIJO-san, because we want to show you the deep love we feel for your Art. It was 2013 when you debuted with your solo project and it’s so clear that the world you have created (and still you are creating) has enchanted us all. There is something really special in your world and we feel it so deeply. You always give us deep emotions, you make us dream, you make our life better. You have created a big family all around the world and this collection of messages, photos and everything else shows the power of this big family. This fanbook is just a tribute to you, to your talent, to your art, to your world and a wish that you will never stop with it. We all thank you for everything you are doing for us and we all hope to see you again soon because we miss you so much. Being a good Rabbit-man, KAMIJO has always walked his own path to achieve his goals, especially in music, thanks to his family history. His career counts almost 25 years, but what we are about to focus on, it’s his solo project which started after the hiatus of Versailles, his second band after LAREINE. Why are we talking only about the KAMIJO Solo project? It’s easy: the year is 2018, the year of the Dog, which is the fifth anniversary of this amazing project!

2013 The Year of the Snake

After Versailles hiatus, KAMIJO announced he was about to commence a solo career. It was the beginning of the year and we all had to wait the 28th of August to see his first release “Louis –Enketzu no la Vie en Rose” It was the first single that gave birth to a world made in KAMIJO’s style: poetic, magnificent and dark. The release of the first MV generated a huge interest mainly for the appearance of Mana. After a while, the MV for “Grazioso” was released which is still to this day particularly appreciated by Italian fans because KAMIJO sings some lyrics in Italian!

2014 The Year of the Horse The year of the Horse was the one which opened the doors to KAMIJO to concrete his activities. There was simply no stopping him, starting with the majestic “Symphony of the Vampire”, KAMIJO is unstoppable releasing products, one after one. First “Moulin Rouge” in June, then “Yamiyo no Lion” in July and then the first full length “Heart”, in September. This is also the year of the first national tour and the first appearance on the French stage as well, on July 4th.

2015 The Year of the Goat This is the year of the 20th anniversary of KAMIJO’s career. He celebrated this event with an important number of dates around the world. Starting from Europe in late February, KAMIJO touched Moscow, Helsinki, London, Cologne, Marseille and Paris. Then turned back to Japan and flew to America to visit San Paolo, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Mexico City, Los Angeles and then New York, where the overseas tour ended. Being unstoppable, KAMIJO also scheduled a national tour from Sendai to Osaka, and continuing to Sapporo, Yokohama, Saitama, Fukuoka, Tokyo and Nagoya. Being in Asia, he arrived in Taiwan in October and returned to Japan for two dates in November, respectively in Nagoya and Osaka. Lastly, the Grand Finale took place at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on the 28th of December. All members of KAMIJO’s past bands gathered for a memorable show to revive the past and review KAMIJO’s career to the present day. In the meantime, KAMIJO released two albums “20th Anniversary All Time Best –Kakumei no Keifu”

and “Royal Blood”. KAMIJO also released a DVD containing “The Death Parade – Final –The Empire of Vampire- “. This year also saw the reveal of Rose Croix International, KAMIJO’s fan club based in France.

The year of the Monkey was a break for KAMIJO with no releases and only a couple of live appearances. One special performance was held in Paris in September: The Royal Weekend. It was an event he organized in two nights for his overseas fans. The first night was the Royal Night with a concert held two days after the second night. During this live, KAMIJO introduced to the foreign fans Nosferatu, a song that would see the light after two years!

2016 The Year of the Monkey

2017 The Year of the Rooster

2017 was KAMIJO’s return as solo artist! After more than three years since the release of “Yamiyo no Lion”, KAMIJO returned with the new amazing single, “Castrato” and was followed by “mademoiselle” three months later.

2018 The Year of the Dog

The year of the Dog is very prolific for KAMIJO solo activities. After the release of two singles in 2017, “Nosferatu” was released in the middle of January, soon followed by the DVD of the “Epic Rock Orchestra” live KAMIJO held in 2017. A long tour through Japan began in March and concluded on July 15th with the Final. KAMIJO’s “Live Tour 2018 “-Sang- “would continue with two other chapters, or two acts: the second one named “Tokyo Bastille” and the third one “Europe Tour 2018 “-Sang-“.

In the meantime, “Sang” was released on the same day of another single “Sang –Another Story”, a collaboration with the vocaloid, Miku Hatsune. July was the month of another single and another chapter of “Sang”: “Kimi ni Okuru Namae”.

Sweetie kamijo-san: I know you do not know who I am, but there is something I want to tell you ... There is a person that makes me smile, that person is the most beautiful of all. Many know that person, and I say many, not just the people, but thousands and millions who admire him, love him and support him in everything he does, and I am one of them. When I saw his face for the first time and I heard him sing, I never thought he would become someone so important to me, my life took a turn when he arrived, most of my days are related to him. When I feel lonely and sad, he is there unconditionally, he reminds me how good he makes me feel when they give an announcement, like a new song, a new video clip, a new album. 1- When did you start cosplaying KAMIJO and why? CVK - Nearly three years ago, though I wouldn’t entirely call what I do full-on cosplay. More so tributes. I’m not entirely sure how it came about, but it was more or less decided on a whim and evolved on its own. And I’m certainly glad it happened that way, as it helped me find who I was meant to be. 2- Why this cosplay (or cosplays) instead of others? CVK - There’s just something unique, if not confident about dressing as someone you not only admire, but also respect. In a way, it’s sort of like when kids play dress up and pretend to be their parents. They’re happy, and their parents are proud. That’s how I like to think Kamijo looks to us when we cosplay as him. 3- Could you describe your feelings while cosplaying KAMIJO? CVK - To cosplay anything Kamijo I feel is best described as the image of a lion: bearing pride, strength, and a majestic kind of beauty. There’s a special kind of connection, I feel. To wear something similar to what he has, it gives strength when one is weak, confidence when there is none to be found, and a sense of courage to move forward. 4- What’s your favorite KAMIJO’s costume from 2013 til 2018? CVK - There are so many I have enjoyed seeing him wear over the years. 1 - When did you start cosplaying KAMIJO and why? DB - I started doing cosplay of Kamijo since November more or less 2017. I had already heard Versailles before, for the year 2011, but I continued his career, and I became a follower, I went to see him in Buenos Aires when he appeared in 2015. Why did I decide to cosplay him? It’s really hard to say it in words ... I decided to do it a little over a year ago, my admiration for him after I met him personally, to greet him face to face, I was having a duel for two years, and he I was managed to draw a sincere smile on my face, I promised to be strong, to go back to spend another happy night and go to see it whenever I stepped on Argentine soil. You could say that’s why, practically Kamijo “saved” me in several occasions. 2- Why this cosplay (or cosplays) instead of others? DB - “Castrato” I suppose that for pleasure, and lack of time, I did everything in about three weeks, I received some help to finish it, there is an annual event, 3 years ago, about Japanese fashion in various parts of the world, in Buenos Aires is done in July, and I decided to go dressed in it of he , I did not want to postpone the cosplay any longer. Kamijo’s long hair looks great, “Castrato” captivated me a lot when I saw it, and mademoiselle was the final decision to do it. 3- Could you describe your feelings while cosplaying KAMIJO? DB - It really feels good, I love playing with being “a French guy”w making jokes, it feels great to see myself in the mirror and I feel proud when they tell me a good comment, because I really put a lot of effort into this.
