2018 can be fondly remembered in golfing circles for many reasons. With the UK basking in unprecedented conditions that are more akin to Spain and Portugal, the summer months gave opportunity to many who love the game to play in some wonderful conditions, which brought a timely reminder that The UK is home to some of the most diverse and picturesque courses in Europe.

Open Week in Scotland was of course no exception, with Carnoustie being blessed with a heatwave that saw some of the worlds greatest players producing drives of some 400 yards plus! This culminated in Francesco Molinari not only being crowned Open Champion, but also the first Italian to win a Major.

The European Ryder Cup team won in stunning fashion against the competition from across the pond, solidifying Europe as once again producing the worlds best golfers.

However, it is also good to remember that the UK is also home to many clubs and courses that play exceptionally well through the Winter months, and by looking through the following pages you will find profiles and reviews on courses that can play as well during the Winter months as they do on those hot Summer days.
