SALES FOR THE FIRST 4 MONTHS UP 11% FROM LAST YEAR
West Vancouver detached home sales were up 11% over last year for the first four months of 2019. Home sales increased from 105 homes during this time period last year to 117 homes in 2019. The biggest shift is to homes priced below $2M. Last year 13 homes were sold at $2M or lower, while this year we have already seen 38 homes in that price range. This accounts for 32% of the current home sales. The HPI (Home Price Index) for West Vancouver detached homes is at the lowest point since December 2015 when it was $2,606,900. The HPI for April 2019 is $2,574,100. This is down 18% over the past year. This is a decrease of $883,800 from the record high of $3,427,900 in September 2016 or a total of 33% less.
