21st century ingenuity to recapture 19th century craftsmanship in the re-creation of a historic farmhouse. The defining elements are exterior wood detailing, wood windows, stained glass, and chimney.

UPPER FLOOR

All original exterior design, detailing and colors were maintained. Everything inside the house is brand new. Achieved a retro farm house look, with new millennium open interior design. DETAILING West Coast Douglas Fir used for posts arches and cornices, which were scaled and replicated by hand using hand tools similar to those used by original craftsman.

HISTORY Henry Bose and his brother Louis built he original Bose Farmhouse circa 1898. In 1901 Henry married Emma Churchland and the couple expanded the original small homestead circa 1910 as the farm prospered and for their growing family of 8 children. Since the 1990s, planned redevelopment has transformed the former pastoral and agricultural countryside into a vital residential community. Receiving Heritage Status, the century-old Bose Farmhouse has been revitalized and integrated into Harvest at Bose Farm.

Extensive cornice detailing above doors, above wrap around porch and extensive knee brace’s throughout the exterior. Windows had to be replaced as original as possible. They are made of West Coast Douglas Fir wood (very expensive). Old style detailing of inside windows, sashes, and wood grids give the appearance of an old style window but meets modern code. Picture frame style wraps around the windows to maintain the old style, character, and theme. Colored glass was used to replicate stained glass at entry doors. The false chimney cap details are replicated to look like the original.
