There were trips to see the animals at Edinburgh Zoo and Blair Drummond Safari Park. Everyone who went got to see penguins diving into the water and lions relaxing in the grass. We held football tournaments, where teams and played each other for a prize. We had teams from Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire, we even had a member who had come all the way from Inverness. Two players were given a new pair of football boots for being so nice and friendly on the football pitch. Another group of members went to Go Ape. Go Ape is an obstacle course, high up in the trees. Can you imagine seeing the world like a bird? There was also laser tag, picnics in the park or trips to the beach. Members got to see their old friends and make new ones too. Everyone had a great time, and we already can’t wait till next summer! If you would like to know if there is anything going on in your local area, you can ask your APW or get a responsible adult to call our National Office – 0141 226 4441.
