Module One
Mindset Mindset is 100% part of the success you can expect from any endeavor. How you feel and what you think about what you are going to achieve or receive will dictate how much success you will allow yourself to have. If you give 100% effort, but have 10% actual belief you are canceling out your chances and only allowing yourself to receive 10% success at best if you see any results at all. How many times have you chosen the long hard path, when it wasn’t necessary? How many times have you listened to someone else tell you what is or isn’t possible and not trusted yourself? How many times have you “tried” really hard and seen little to no results? All of these questions can find their real answers inside your mindset. Is changing one’s mindset easy? No, it takes time, patience and accountability. You must be willing to take responsibility for your life, the good and the bad and you must be willing to become an observer of your own behaviors. When you are willing to be this person, changing your mindset is a simple matter and it will happen sooner then you imagine. Think of your mindset like a radio dial, the same way you would tune in your favorite station you can tune in positive and supportive information and self talk. You can literally set your mindset to success, however in order to do that you must first realize where it is set right now. Exercises Please answer the following questions as accurately as you can. There will be nay-sayers along the path, others who have their minds set on limitation, fear and failure, but do you really want to listen to that? 6
Mindset has 100% to do with what success you can expect, 100% and yet, if you are listening to a “station” that isn’t serving your possibilities, you are destroying your abilities to have the life you know your deserve. DMO
(Daily Method of Operations) Your daily method of operations is the difference between success and failure. While I do not like to speak about failure, it is the only way I know how to clearly define for you how important this is. You DMO will literally illustrate for you where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there and why. If you have worked for other people, at a j o b, you know that there is a time when you are supposed to start, particular work you are supposed to do and times throughout the day when you can take lunch, take breaks and ultimately go home. That is a DMO. The pitfall we experience in our journey towards success, be it as business owners, entrepreneurs, or independent contractors, is failure to create a DMO for ourselves. We behave more like kids getting out for summer vacation, waking up every morning and letting the day happen. That will not lend itself to success. Success demands a certain amount of participation and DMO is part of that participation. In order to define a working DMO for you, you must be straight forward about your life, current circumstances, priorities and schedule, from there you can make changes, compromises and get as creative as you require in order to accommodate a new DMO which is all about generating success and freedom for you. Many of you will be accommodating a j o b while getting started in your new venture and that’s great and very plausible. Obviously for a short period of time you will be juggling things, however it’s important to set yourself up with short-term plans that feed long-term dreams. You may be adding extra work to your day for a while, however when you know that doing that extra work will bring you home and will allow you freedom, it’s amazing how effortless this can become.

Be - Do - Have
Goals & Intentions / Clutter It’s important to realize as we forge forward into our successes that we must first become successful people in order to attract success. Even though you have an incredible business, the best training and/or the most amazing opportunity in front of you, if you do not already behave as though you are successful within your business, you are missing the boat and creating a much longer learning curve than is required. To become successful, indeed to “be” who you want to be is the key to allowing all the things that a successful person would do, and have, attract to you like a magnet. Where most people get caught is that they put “being” or “becoming” last on their list and they get busy doing the things they think they ought to be doing in order to have the things they think they ought to have, which in turn allows them to become who that person might be. Doing it this way doesn’t work. The person you would become someday by doing and having is never seen because you are way too caught up in doing and having. Doesn’t it seem like the more you do, the more you have to do, the more you have the more you have to do and so on and so on until one day you wake up and you are a living a life you never would have intended for yourself, in fact you may have wanted to become something else entirely, however you have become the results of someone who does in order to have and never gets to “being”. This is the point of reckoning for us all. When we wake up and realize there has to be more to this life and we are ready to be a person who discovers what that is. Chances are pretty great that you had some such moment recently or you wouldn’t be here right now. In order to understand who you want to be in your life, you must have a clear picture of what you want. The best way to get clear on what you want is to tune into what you don’t want! We all have a very clear idea of what we don’t want.

Exercise On a clean sheet of paper, draw a line down the middle and create two columns. On the right side write, “What I Want” on the left side write “What I Don’t Want”. Get to work and write away under the “don’t want” column. You may be amazed at how much stuff you don’t want. Keep writing until you are complete. Once you have completed that step, go back to the beginning. Under the “do want’ column you are now going to write what you would have, if you didn’t have what was under the “don’t want” column. Ask yourself this question, “If I didn’t have……….. What would I have?” This is the fastest way to figure out what you want and once you have figured that out, cross off the “don’t want” item. We only ever want to focus on what we want. This exercise is a real jewel when it comes to determining for yourself, what you want and where you are going, once you have figured that out you can than ask the million dollar question: “When I have all of this, who would I be?” (Write down how you would dress, what kind of a house you would live in, the way you’d answer the phone, how you’d connect with people, what types of decisions you’d make, how comfortable you would be making decisions and who you would be to your family and in all social occasions. Etc….) It is that simple.
Goals The best part about being clear on what you want, you are now equipped to set goals. Why do we set goals? So we know where we are going. Just like a road map, we have set ourselves on a pathway to success. Some folks don’t like the word goal, so fine, call it a “marker”, a “target”, or, truth be told it is also an “intention”. You can set your intention that is the same as setting a goal. Use the language that works for you, just make sure you BE the person to DO the action! Once you have your “do want” list, you can categorize your wants into short-term, medium-term and long-term goals. For business a short-term goal can be defined by keeping your DMO, having x number of clients, or x number of associates or even x number of profits. A medium-term goal may be a new car, or a great vacation. 15
A long-term goal may be a new house. Whatever you choose, it’s important to create a timeline and to focus our energy. Whether we call them goals, or…. Focus will allow us to achieve them. Tools to assist you in creating and manifesting successful goals are: Daily Visualization. If you have a car you want, test drive it, put its picture somewhere in front of you and see yourself driving that care every day. Get fired up about it and it will happen. Do this with your goals, dream shop, house hunt, and envision the FedEx truck showing up delivering checks to you. A Dream or Visioning Board. On a piece of poster board put up pictures of the things you are going to (have) successfully achieved. The photo of the car, the house, the travel brochures, etc… Put it in front of you and know you have already succeeded. A Goal Card. Write your goals on a card, have it laminated and carry them with you, put the in your wallet or somewhere that you connect with daily and stay focused. ENJOY your life, have fun and make that part of your DMO. That is more than half the secret to being successful, be the person who is successful and you attract success. * It’s important to realize that goals will fill the amount of time you allot for them, if you set a 3 year goal you will probably waste one year thinking about it, so why not just make it a 2 year goal and get busy? If a goal takes a little longer, that’s OK, just adjust the timeline; never abandon the goal, its almost there. In fact, many people stop when they are literally inches from success, remember that and stay on it.
Clutter One very important issue that will “clutter’ the road to your success (haha) is clutter itself. Emotional, mental and physical clutter will literally create barriers that can equate to long learning curves, struggle, worry and failure. The only way someone actually fails is to quit, however many find themselves quitting because they are too cluttered up and can’t seem to make room for success.

Mental and emotional clutter are things that haunt you from the past. These are the things that speak in your mind and tell you “when you did that before, that happened” or “when you took a chance last time, you didn’t make it” or “who do you think you are to think you could do that’, etc. None of it is empowering in fact it’s pretty negative stuff. This is mental and emotional clutter, from the past, clouding your vision and your judgment. Friends and loved ones may contribute to this clutter because they have their own clutter and they will happily support you in keeping yours, because then they don’t want to clean theirs up! Truth be told they probably won’t celebrate our desire to change, not because they don’t love and care about us but because they don’t want to change themselves. The only way to master emotional and mental clutter is to throw it out. Get very clear on where you are going, who you choose to be and take a stand for yourself, allow no clutter from the past to break into your new life plan, be a careful and conscious observer and every time you feel the past crowding you, make a choice that puts your future clearly and firmly front of you. In life you are either living in to your future, or you’re living out your history. Which would you prefer? If you haven’t done so already go get a journal, a simple notebook will suffice, and start dialoguing with yourself about these things. What past piece of clutter has taken up residence in your head, what baggage are you prepared to leave in a locker at the train station? Journaling is not keeping a Diary it’s about having real and authentic conversations with yourself so you can become clear on who you choose to be. Physical clutter is easily the simplest to get rid of and at the same time brings up all sorts of resistance in people.

Half finished projects, half-baked ideas, notes and other such material are all clutter. Half finished things, or things whose time has passed can be lethal to your future as they represent the energy of incompletion or failure. Let them go. Please realize they haven’t been completed in all of this time, they are not going to be. Stop torturing yourself. Letting go of this kind of clutter, which typically lives in the place where you are attempting to get your work done, is an absolute must. If you have files and paper everywhere, file them and/or throw them away (please recycle). Get stuff put away and taken care of and do it immediately. If you have boxes of stuff just sitting there, sort through and dispose of them. Put things into storage if you have to, but keep your work space, and indeed your living space, free from clutter and see how differently life shows up. (Hanging on to stuff is actually aligned with lack, not believing that if you needed it some day you’d be able to get it, so you let it hang around taking up space. But that’s another workbook!) Get rid of the things you don’t use and don’t need. What are you keeping them for? You want new in your life, get rid of the old. Give to others who will use what you don’t. It’s that simple. Opening up energy by creating a space is allowing for new things to come in. It is quite logical and anyone can do this. If you are resistant to this ask yourself why? Chances are pretty good, that when you start to explore why you are hanging on to “stuff’ you’ll being to realize it’s really hanging on to you! Things that we choose keep around us may include heirlooms, mementos that mean something to us – be honest about this one – photo albums and other such historical realities. Unfinished projects and year old to do lists, do not qualify. Make a contract with yourself to be clutter free! Just DO IT! Truth is, if I told you that doing this work mindfully and with persistence for 90 days would add up to a check in your mail box for $200,000.00 US. You would do it right? Well, that type of result is possible when you put steps into action mindfully and with persistence. Anything you could ever want is your reward. Are you willing to become focused?

Module Four
Persistency & Consistency Now that you know all of this great information about yourself, the most important reality you can create for yourself is going to be one of persistent and consistent action. Follow through is key to achieving success and that follow through will require being congruent with your mindset, DMO, goals and intentions, who you choose to be and at what level you are choosing you own success. Persistent action, or activity may start simply with you consciously choosing how your day is going to go, watching your reactions, observing what you do and don’t do to see if it is consistent with the results you have mapped out for your life and your business. Consistency brings us back to focus, remaining on the path that leads us where we want to go, not veering to the left and right but rather moving forward in confident motion. It is good to realize that as long as you are in the process of persistent and consistent congruent action and activity you are perfectly on your path. We often neglect to see the perfection inside of ourselves so I will invite you to consider that you are whole and perfect exactly as you are right now and as long as you are evolving and growing – which is what this work is all about – you are attaining a new level of perfection every moment. If you take issue with this last statement, I would invite you to explore why? Sometimes we feel it is completely wrong to consider ourselves as whole and perfect, however if we don’t believe this, what do we believe? Always choose beliefs that will empower you. Sometimes when we look into the possibilities we see things like, being busy, lots of obligations, not enough time. These beliefs will not empower you. Maybe you only have 5 minutes in an hour to focus on where you are taking your life, and maybe that just doesn’t feel like enough time . 21
Will 5 minutes an hour add up to a difference in your life and ultimately massive success in your business? YES! You have to start, things will grow from there and step by step you will move forward and 5 minutes will evolve into an hour, a day, a week and ultimately a lifetime. Just give yourself a chance. Persistence does not stop, it keeps going. Author Andy Andrews, in “The Travelers Gift” speaks about persisting without exception. To “try” your best is not what I’m talking about, to stay at it, to keep going, to believe in yourself and your future so much that nothing and no one will stop you, that is true persistence. Fate is on your side because it’s based upon your faith. To mold and shape you day with consistency is to know and than reassure yourself on a continual basis that you do know where you are going. Resetting, or adjusting your course is all part of the big picture, it’s impossible to move forward and succeed without constant adjustments, that’s just the way it goes. Rockets would not get to the Moon, or to Mars, if their trajectory wasn’t adjusted every few seconds. Decision-making is part of taking consistent action because you are making decisions consistent with your choices. You do not have to worry about making the right decision, because in time you will have the opportunity to make other decisions based on all the new information you have acquired. Right decisions are simply right, right now! You can make as many decisions as is required to get to where you want to be there are in fact no limit to the amount of decisions you are entitled to make, so if you make a “wrong” one, the next one will indeed be made in order to set things right! It is that simple. Making the decision to get on the path is the first and most important one, than to follow through with persistence and consistency, you do no have to know exactly how everything works, just allow for acceptance that as long as you are practicing these keys, or methods to success, you will indeed reap the rewards.

Connecting with Other People *** A side note. We have discussed goals, intentions and persistent and consistent follow through. What I want to touch on briefly is your “Why”. This is bigger than all of those things put together and it has all of those ingredients in it. The new house, the new car, the time with family, travel, etc., are all part of your overall why in fact your why encompasses all of them, and, your “why” is the path, or purpose that is your hearts passion. It may take time to uncover and discover your why and that’s fine, in fact it is important that you do find out what really drives you in this life, for it is the fuel that propels your to move forward when everything else seems to be standing in your way. Your why is so powerful that when all the odds appear against you, you will go for it anyway. A great way to find your why is to ask, over and over for as long as it takes a question like; “if money weren’t an issue, what would I be doing with my life?” of “ if time weren’t and issue..” you can ask this many ways, just fill in the blank, and keep asking until you start getting an answer. It could take you some time to discover what your hearts desire really is in this life and that’s just the way it goes, no worrries. In the meantime, your goals and intentions will keep you moving forward and creating successful momentum. _____________________________________ Connecting with other people is one of the most important factors to being successful in business. At some point on your path other people become the lifeline to cash flow and cash flow is the fuel for a successful lifestyle. So, we cannot avoid connecting with others. 25
How do you feel about connecting with others? Notice I’m not talking about talking to them, I’m talking about connecting. Does this make you nervous? Why? Your confidence, your ability to know you have a solution for what others are searching for is the key to your success. I don’t care if you consider yourself the worst sales person on the planet because we are NOT talking about selling. If you think you can sell ice to Eskimos, you have a lot of work to do to undo those habits because in the long run they will not serve you. People don’t want to be sold. The old tried and true techniques of selling are fast becoming archaic. There is too much information, too much access and too many things bombarding people every day. They are immune to hype. Sure, you may find folks who are vulnerable and you can talk them into buying, but that isn’t going to create a flourishing business for you. Convincing someone to do something will only create more convincing and that’s such a waste of time because as soon as you stop convincing them, they will stop doing anything. No matter what, if someone is not ready, they are not ready, they are not serious and they aren’t going to follow through, even if they start, so don’t force. There are so many people who at this very moment are looking for you and what you have to offer so do not make the mistake of wasting your time on the ones that aren’t. If you focus on these types of people, you are basically telling the Universe this is the way you are willing to do business and you will attract a lot more of these types of people. Clarity is the master that sees beyond all of this stuff. You are already on the path to your best clarity, now lets attract other like minded people to the table. Connecting means confidently listening. Listen to your prospective clients and/or business partners.

Chances are you have a script that outlines what to say and when to say it. Some of you may only have guidelines, however many of you will have actual scripts. Learn it, trust the formula it is teaching to you and than – once you know the script – let it go. Allow the information to come through you with your personality. Trust yourself and trust your intuition. You will know how to conduct the conversation if you just relax and listen. The information the person on the other end of the phone is telling you is more precious and priceless than anything you could be “telling” them so make your presentation and ask questions, but better to lose you place in the process because you are paying attention to what they are saying (and as you get more skilled you will start to hear what they are not saying), then not hear them at all because you are thinking about what you are going to say next. Keep charge of the conversation, this is not chatting over coffee. If they attempt to push or pull (“Just telll me what this is all about”) it’s very appropriate to let them know that you are with them, you hear what they are saying and for the moment you are going to complete your thought. This conversation is going to go the way you choose, or it’s not going to happen. Now, it is important they know you will get to all the information when you are ready but not and never because they are demanding it. This is a technique that requires confidence and that will come with practice. However, when you know you have a solution for what they are searching for you can smile, relax and stay in charge without ruffling any feathers! Practice is all that is required. When you connect with potential clients and/or business partners, listen for what they are sharing with you in the moment they are sharing it and become a solution to their problem. Typically they are going to tell you exactly why they are looking for something and what is going on for them in their lives if you just give them the chance. This doesn’t mean you will talk to them for an hour at a time but rather that you guide the conversation and let them do most of the talking. You’ll be amazed at how much you can say and learn in as little as five or six minutes. People will purchase products, services and get started in opportunities because they believe in who your being, because they feel listened to and the feel that you offer a real and tangible solution. 27

Now that You Know, What Do You Do?
(The Void Between Knowing and Doing) Now that you know all of this stuff about you, your business, your goals, dreams and intentions and now that you understand the steps you can take to insure your absolute success, what are you going to do about it? There is a lot to be said for understanding what is possible and having the knowledge on how to get to where you want to go, however, all that you know will never actually get you any closer to the prize without applying it and it is in the application, the day to day usage of this information where real success lies. You can hand the formula for success to anybody and if they apply it they will reap the rewards, however they must first believe in themselves and the possibility of success or they will live inside their limitations and never reap anything other than the same results even though they have been given a proven formula to success! Adversity is often the culprit that turns people back and allows them to stop their own progress, so adversity must be seen as opportunity. But‌ The opportunity for what??? To find a solution, to understand things on a deeper level, to appreciate life more, to grow and anything else you may choose to fuel positive affirming forward action. Life is as you say it is. The reality of this whole success formula is based on you believing you can be successful, that you have what it takes, that you will follow through because you know the rewards that are already there for you. You become the person that is already successful, wealthy, happy and healthy and you will naturally do the things that person does and ultimately you will have the things that person has. You become a magnet attracting all this powerful and amazing stuff to you, or, you are a magnet attracting other stuff to you that you may not enjoy. 31
Fear will hold you still and in fact it will allow you to be left behind since there is no standing still in life. Life is always moving forward, so if you are standing still it is passing you by and in that very act you are moving backwards. Do not be fooled into thinking that sitting on the face is playing it safe, playing it safe never got anyone anywhere and in fact since sitting on the fence leaves you out of the game, literally anything could happen to you, bad or good, and since we have a tendency to focus on things we “don’t want” we can only assess that sitting on the fence could indeed make you a target for lousy stuff. It’s time to get on the field and play the game. You know what you want, why you are in this new business, why you have chosen this path and what lies ahead of you. You understand the value of mindset, DMO, goals and intentions, persistency and consistency, you get that all of these things connected together with your why, or purpose, will get you where you intend on being. You understand that being the person who is already there (where you want to be) will cement the deal and literally give to you those things you are intending. So you have reached the void, or the gap between knowing and doing because there is no other option than to apply or deny what you know. The reality is that when you apply these things, in essence you are building the bridge between knowing and doing and that is great. You can expect to feel some fear as you are moving in unfamiliar territory. (Of course that will change quickly when you realize you have already created your future and you are now living into it.) The truth is you are indeed doing things differently so you can expect to feel differently and even a bit scared, however that is your CLUE that you are doing something different and therefore can expect different results. That is the only way you can ever expect different results, so consider it a sign pointing you in the right direction. The only time fear – false evidence appearing real – should ever influence you is if you are in a fight or flight situation. That is the only place that instinct applies, however we allow fear to invade our senses and literally stop us from taking action because taking action would be doing something different, we would be entering into the unknown and for a moment that may not feel safe.

Safety is a real issue for people and perhaps rightly so depending on their past and what they believe about life, however to live a “safe” life could only mean to live a predictable life and predictability means same old same old. Those who get caught in their own safety net, never swim into deep waters and never taste all that life has to offer. You can tell yourself that it is safe to make different choices, that it is safe to become all that you choose and that it is safe to enjoy this moment. You are the greatest friend and supporter you have and while you are choosing to change your life, you are the one you can rely upon because while they mean no harm often those closest to you will not be overly supportive of change. They won’t because they are not interested in changing, so when you first start out they may oppose you. You must have the courage – which comes with the vision of where you are going and who you are becoming – to be your truest most valiant hero and you will become a magnet attracting to you opportunities and other people etc., who will also support your changes and successes. Always remember it starts with you. Exercises The “what if” scenario often plagues us whenever we are taking on something new. Typically it is “What if this fails…” “What if this is a bad decision…” “What if I can’t do it…” etc. All of this is very unsupportive, negative and paralyzing. So, we want to reinvent this habit and literally reframe it into something empowering and positive. An example is; “What if I succeed…” “What if this works…” “What if I can do this…” etc. Please write at least five “what if “ statements that support who you are becoming and where you are going. You may have to address the negative to get to the positive, that’s fine, just work through it until you have creative five or more. What What What What What

Tips for keeping the bridge built over the void of knowing and doing so you can become and be who you have choose to be are as follow: Keep lists. In alignment with your goals and intentions, visit those realities regularly and make a master list on a weekly basis so that you are clear on what you are going to achieve that week, than continue the process for each day. List out the activities you will achieve for that day as it relates to your master list and your short, medium and long-term goals and intentions. Be aware, you can only affectively manage to complete a certain of number of things a day so be real with yourself and cut yourself some slack. Six things a day is perfect as far as business endeavors and if having a list and tracking things like this is challenging for you, then start with three. Yes, you can also include running errands and family time, if however you end up with a list that has twenty things on it, you may not feel like you have any time to get anything done, so back it down. Keep a check box next to every item on your list and check it when completed. Nothing feels better than a page full of check marks day after day, your belief sky rockets when you see how much you have achieved and you start to believe you are capable of more. If you notice there is something on your list that systematically does not get done, day after day and ends up being circled and carried into the next day, you have discovered an area of resistance. The best line of defense is offense in this case, do it first thing at the start of your next day, no excuses, no story, just get it done. Create an agreement with yourself to get whatever it is you least want to do handled first and your day will flow forward toward all sorts of opportunities because you moved resistance out of your path. Continued study of personal development, books, tapes, CDs, DVDs, workbooks, journaling, coaching, workshops and seminars are all part of this journey. It took years and years of all sorts of information to get you exactly where you are today, it takes a much shorter time, however no less of a commitment to move you to where you want to be and who 38
Cont. you want to be and the more material, the more input you can feed you mind and your consciousness, the faster and more complete the outcome. Build you own empowerment library, pick your mentors, listen to inspiring and educational CDs in the car instead of the radio and reap the rewards. As Nike would say, “Just do it!� Meditation, visualization and other such personal work are all part of a successful reality so be sure to include time and effort in these directions. You will find them to be very helpful in focusing your mind and enabling you, like a magnet, to attract exactly what you intend. If you find you want success and you keep wanting it, in fact you want it so bad you can taste it, stop wanting! Be successful, that is the missing ingredient. Become first the rest will follow.
