Today’s News-Herald invited Lake Havasu City’s secondgraders to compose letters to Santa. The students sharpened their pencils and got to work, expressing their heartfelt wishes. Readers who need a little nudge to get in the holiday spirit will find plenty of inspiration on this and the following pages while reading through the youngsters’ letters to Santa Claus. We’ve preserved all spelling and grammar as presented by the students — we feel it adds some charm to this project and helps readers better view Christmas through the eyes of a child. By the way, parents who want their child’s original letter are welcome to pick them up at Today’s News-Herald’s office. The newspaper, 2225 W. Acoma Blvd., is open weekdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. We hope you enjoy reading the students’ letters as much as we did while assembling this project. — Today’s News-Herald staff
