3.Design project

3.1. 2000 1.Triacte Concept: Wisdom = putting together: synthesises and integrates.

There are 3 important key words that reflected 3 functions (three - act) of this chair, new birth (as a tatami chair) is a representative form from a condition where human as a pure human being. Self-indulgence (as a sleeper) is a condition where they become more aware with their own need and their own fulfilment. And wisdom (a chair as it should be) is a condition where they start to realise their vicinity existence, and their existence as a social creature and as an individual. It is a condition where they are able to see, observe and judge their vicinity with the eyes of mind and envision their wholeness relationship and unity.

The design concept is emphasised on how to put difference elements together to make as a whole and unity. Each element will add it own and group value when they come together and emerge as a whole.

Materials: Solid Polyurethane (translucent), Polished Aluminium Tube, Cast Polished Fastener Steel

Dimensions: H 625mm(total), W 400mm, L 400mm

Elements: 2 side supports (interchangeable right and left) 1 seater (it contains the back storage on the top surface) 4 steel fasteners 1 aluminium tube (back support)
