Karpaz Gate Marina launches day charter service The first international standard marina resort in North Cyprus, Karpaz Gate Marina has announced the launch of a new day charter service. The award-winning marina is pleased to offer a 14 metre sailing yacht for full and half-day sailing trips catering for up to six people. The packages include an experienced skipper and are priced at 600 Euros for half or 1,100 Euros for a full day. Once on board, guests can enjoy pre-ordered snacks and refreshments, experiencing the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters while viewing some of the most picturesque spots on the peninsula. This latest development follows the introduction of powerboats, which are ideal for exploring coves and islands in the area. Offered with a skipper, these half or full day charters are available on a four-cabin 16 metre Azimut motoryacht for up to ten or a 7 metre motorboat for a maximum of four people.

On 1 August, D-Marin, a premium marina network, acquired Punta Faro Marina, its first in Italy and the 16th marina to join the group. The facility is based in Lignano Sabbiadoro, near Venice, where the waters of the Marano Lagoon and the Adriatic Sea meet. With 1,200 berths, the marina is one of the largest marinas in the Northern Adriatic and is home to yachts of up to 40 metres. Future investment will include the introduction of a high-speed wireless network and smart pedestals using innovative, eco-friendly technology. There are also plans to completely revamp the marina’s sanitary units, together with improvements to the existing piers.
Almarin acquires Aister’s marina business unit
An agreement has been reached with Aister for Almarin to acquire its marina business unit. With more than 30,000 metres of pontoons installed in 27 countries during the past 30 years, Aister Marinas has established a sound reputation in the construction of marinas and leisure harbours. In recent years, however, the company has been focussing on the design and manufacture of aluminium boats and consequently the management has now taken the strategic decision to divest itself of the marina operation.
Since 1963 Walcon has proven itself to be a worldwide leader in the design, construction and installation of marinas and berthing facilities, with renowned quality and first class service.
