D-Marin launches bespoke app

As part of its digitisation strategy, D-Marin has launched a bespoke app as part of its ‘Connected Marina’ initiative, which will be rolled out across all its marinas to help further enrich the group’s customer experience. The app brings together all of D-Marin’s very latest developments in one place and is protection, it’s just finished off our berthing plan tremendously, we’re very happy.”

Haslar Marina’s new floating concrete breakwater comprises two 60 tonne 20 m x 4 m and two 53 tonne 15 m x 4 m concrete breakwater units.

Manufactured in-house, ICMS’ floating concrete breakwaters are an option where a fixed breakwater isn’t feasible and are designed to attenuate waves to a level where sheltered berthing can then be provided.

Built from reinforced concrete with internal floating blocks, the breakwaters incorporate high yield stainless steel wire rope and IRHD 70 rubber buffers combining high strength and maximum flexibility.

Given the severe environments in which they function, ICMS pays particular attention to the lifespan of the units. Built in accordance with exposure classifications, coupled with a detailed analysis of the site, the galvanised reinforcing steel and concrete cover ensure the longevity of these breakwater units.

with all mobile operating systems.

The D-Marin – Premium Marinas app is a centralised platform for customers to access a personalised hub with all the key information and services they need. It is set to transform the way owners interact with marinas, allowing them to have direct communication with the marina teams, as well as to be able to choose, book and renew marina berths in real-time, make payments, complete check-in procedures remotely, which will significantly reduce waiting times, as well as find out all the latest news, events and special offers at each location.

The intuitive app also gives customers full control of D-Marin’s Smart Pedestal solution that is being rolled out to its marinas throughout 2023. Customers will no longer need to enter the marina office or queue and wait for energy supply, instead, they will have full control of the opening and closing of power sockets and remote measurement of consumption, as well as full control of costs.

Private annual berth holders also enjoy maximum safety and security thanks to the D-Marin – Premium Marinas app connecting with D-Marin’s autonomous Boat Sensors, giving round-the-clock monitoring and real-time updates on a vessel’s status including bilge, heat, battery and location.

Matthias Gehring, D-Marin’s Chief Digital Officer, said: “With the launch of the app we are combining a lot of innovative services to ease the life of our customers, so more time can be spent on the water and increase the security of the boats. The D-Marin – Premium Marinas app will elevate yachting adventures as part of our commitment to delivering the very best customer experiences in some of the finest locations”.

The D Marin App is for both annual and transient customers and can be downloaded via the Apple App store and Google play store.
