WHO WE ARE The Wisconsin Film Festival (WFF) is the largest university produced film festival in the nation with an average of 150 film screenings and yearly attendance of over 25,000. The Wisconsin Film Festival is presented by the UW–Madison Division of the Arts and the Department of Communication Arts. The Wisconsin Film Festival showcases the work of filmmakers (storytellers, animators, journalists, cinematographers, editors, directors, and actors) from around the world and right here in Wisconsin. For eight days annually, the Festival screens some the best independent, international, and studio films of the year, along with masterworks and uncovered gems from the past. Supported by filmmaker Q&As, university partnered panel discussions, and educational workshops for children, the Wisconsin Film Festival brings captivating stories from our state, around the globe, and beyond our imaginations, to the heart of Madison.
