The Pacific big-mouthed frog is the rarest species of "Pac-Man" frogs, which are native to the rain and dry forest of South America. This species is unique to the dry forests of Southwestern Ecuador and Northern Peru. Because of habitat destruction the Pacific big-mouthed frog is threatened with extinction.
