Glenn Irwin is certainly a star for the future, in his 2nd season of racing he has already made a succesfull debut in the German IDM championship which earned him a call up for the Imola World Supersport Race just missing out by 0.5 of a second.

Having raced motocross from the age of 4 Glenn made the transition to short circuits for a full campaign of 125 racing in 2008. In 2008 Glenn begun his first full season on a 125 honda in the irish clubmans championship and consequently won the title by 150 points. During the 2008 season Glenn also enjoyed some success against the seasonal national riders eventually finishing 4th in the championship and taking the lap record by 0.8 of a second at the Ballykelly motorsports festival. In 2009 Glenn was snapped up by Slemish Waters Racing for what was supposed to be a learning year at clubman 600 level. An early season injury forced Glenn to forfeit the Clubmans title and instead gain experience racing with the National Irish supersport 600 riders. This turned out to be a record breaking season for Glenn, he became the first person in the history of The Irish Supersport Championship to win the title in what was supposed to be a Clubman 600 year.

As a regular top-ten finisher at Irish Supersport level, Glenn is now receiving excellent media coverage, which he hopes to increase with his ambition for even better results in 2010.
