Customers who have an approved credit application on file are billed monthly. A 1.5% monthly service charge is applied to bills not paid within 30 days.

All advertising should be in good taste as to form, subject matter, wording, size, illustration and composition. The publisher reserves the right to revise, edit, reject or cancel any advertisement at any time. All ads, advertising copy, photos, illustrations and web materials prepared by The Daily Triplicate staff become the property of the newspaper and may not be reproduced for any other use without explicit prior written approval by the publisher.

Contracts are for the use of individual advertisers only. Advertising space will not be sold by The Daily Triplicate for the purpose of resale or brokered to others. Omission and Error: Every effort is made to avoid errors. In the event of a mistake in an ad, the newspaper will be responsible for errors only to the extent of the space involved. The advertiser must notify the newspaper of corrections prior to the next publication. It is agreed that The Daily Triplicate is not to be held responsible for errors in publication, except where corrections marked on the advertising proof by the client have not been properly made. It is agreed that The Daily Triplicate accepts responsibility for errors only on the first insertion of the advertisement. It is further agreed that in no case shall the newspaper be held liable for selling merchandise at a lower price published in error or other losses. Claims for errors will be considered if made within 30 days following publication. Publisher reserves the right to revise advertising rates upon 30 days written notice, and the right to set additional rates for special promotions or publications.

Retail advertising rates on this card are for run-of-paper (ROP) positioning. The Daily Triplicate will attempt to honor all position requests, but we cannot guarantee that your ad will be on a particular page or in a specific section. Position may be guaranteed by page if available, but not the location of an ad on that page, for an additional surcharge of 25% of the total cost of the ad. At certain times of the year, we may reach capacity to handle color advertising. The Earlier reservations are submitted, the less likely problems will occur. In the event that capacity is reached, advertiser requests for color will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Annual Dollar Volume Contracts Budget your advertising for a year and earn substantial discounts. Charges in both the Triplicate and the Pilot for display, classified display, color and pre-print insertions all apply to your annual dollar volume.  Discounted rates are based on total advertising charges billed over 12 consecutive months with signed contract. If Advertiser does not meet the contract requirements, the Advertiser will be short-rated at  the appropriate rate. If Advertiser exceeds contract, Advertiser is eligible for a rebate equal to the discount of the next contract level. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Printed offset. 85 line screen preferred for halftones. Electronically submitted ads must be a minimum of 220 dpi. All typefaces must be restricted to our standard library. Reverse type smaller than 12 points will not reproduce well. PDF files preferred; TIFF and EPS files also accepted. You can email ads smaller than 5mb to tripads@triplicate.com. Please contact your sales rep for files larger than 5mb as other arrangements may need to be prearranged.

Inserts should be palletized or in boxes. Inserts are due in Smith River four business days prior to insertion date. Receiving hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. A forklift is available. For special appointments, call (707) 487-7100 or (707) 218-8067.

9. Online Rates

ROP REQUIREMENTS Minimum ad size is 1 column with by 1 inch high. Ads with a width exceeding its height may be charged an additional premium. All advertisements will be billed to the nearest half inch. Any advertisement that exceeds 18.5 inches (standard) or 10 inches (tabloid) high will be billed at full column depth.

Creative Services. Advertisers can take advantage of our art services which offer artwork, headings and borders at no extra charge. Basic ad design and copy writing is also included with your ad order, at no additional cost. Staff artist available for custom art/design for independent projects at $50 per hour. Extra-ordinary requests and compositions of advertisements solely for other publications will result in charges of $50 per hour. We charge $25 per “send” by email to other papers besides the Curry Coastal Pilot or other WesCom papers.
