Once upon a time, a Prince asked a beautiful Princess... “Will you marry me?” The Princess said “NO!” And the Prince lived happily ever after and collected fire arms and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf and dated women half his age and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted. Larry’s kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person. ‘Yes,’ said the policeman. ‘The detectives want very badly to capture him. Larry asked,”Why didn’t you keep him when you took his picture ? “

e h t n i Art Streets Mueller, who has previously painted a giant waterfall in Canada, said he was Inspired by the British Pavement Picasso T. Julian Beever, whose dramatic but more gentle 3D street images have been featured in the Daily Mail. This guy is amazing no matter how you look at it! He spent five days, working 12 hours a day, to create the 250 square meter image of the crevasse, which, viewed from the correct angle, appears to be 3D. He then persuaded passers-by to complete the illusion by pretending the Gaping hole was real. ‘I wanted to play with positives and negatives to encourage people to think twice about everything they see,’ he said. ‘It was a very scary scene, but when people saw it they had great fun playing on it and pretending to fall into the earth. ‘I like to think that later, when they returned home, they might reflect more on What a frightening scenario it was and say, “Wow, that was actually pretty scary.” Great Crevasse Edgar Mueller. Hard work: Together with up to five assistants, Mueller painted all day long from sunrise to sunset. The picture appeared on the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, as part of the town’s Festival of World Cultures.

And in Amenia, New York, a teacher gathering information for record cards asked a little girl for her father’s name. “It’s Archie,” the girl said. “Archibald?” asked the teacher. The girl pointed to the top of her head and said, “Just a little bit right here.”

Crest Memorial Students Taking Vow of Silence WILDWOOD CREST – Crest Memorial School’s eighth-grade class is taking the “Vow of Silence” on Friday, Nov. 19, as a way to show support for exploited children all over the world.
Scrappy Pappy Will Pick Up Free!
The Vow of Silence is a national effort coordinated by Free the Children, an organization dedicated to educating children in countries where children do not have the privilege of education, partly because their days are spent working in terrible conditions. Crest Memorial’s eighth grade is currently learning about the issue of child labor and, through their research, found that Nov. 19 is the designated day for children to take a vow of silence to show their solidarity and support for less fortunate children. The students decided that they, too, want to join the Vow of Silence effort and have planned to remain silent in the school’s hallways, during their lunch period, and any other non-instructional time. The students also plan to wear red that day because they have learned that the color red symbolizes courage and action.
Call 609)-972-9249 or (609)-972-5248
To help raise awareness, the eighth-graders are asking Crest Memorial students in grades five, six, and seven to join them in keeping quiet during lunch and while walking to classes.
Clean Ups and Trash Removal Too!
For more information about the Vow of Silence, visit www. freethechildren.com.

WHAT A REAL WOMAN DOES A real woman is a man’s best friend. She will never stand him up and never let him down. She will reassure him when he feels insecure and comfort him after a bad day. She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do; to live without fear and forget regret. She will enable him to express his deepest emotions and give in to his most intimate desires. She will make sure he always feels as though he’s the most handsome man in the room and will enable him to be the most confident, sexy, seductive, and invincible. . . No wait... Sorry... I’m thinking of beer. That’s what beer does... Never mind...

Wedding Planning Tips From
ThatsMyWedding.com Don’t Take Your Wedding Photography Lightly ! Choosing the right style of wedding photography for your pending event is as important as choosing what dress to wear or where you will have your reception. If you have a budget to work with, you should try to get the most affordable one possible without cutting corners. After all, we’re talking about a once in a lifetime event, and you won’t get a second chance to capture the images from your special day. Engaged couples have more options now than ever before regarding styles of wedding photography. Photojournalistic wedding photography is a highly popular choice for today’s weddings, offering a much less stilted marriage album than the old formally posed shots. Black and white one is also very popular, adding an old-time romance to yourmarriage photos. Contemporary wedding picture allows couples to customize their photographs freely to match the feel of the ceremony. The traditional posed wedding portrait is quite appropriate to the old-fashioned formal one. However, this is only one of a myriad of wedding styles from which couples now may choose. From jumping out of an airplane or exchanging vows on a roller coaster to highly themed custom ceremonies, weddings in general are much less standardized. It is only fitting that marriages photography should also change with the times. One of the primary concerns in planning any wedding is the cost. Affordable wedding photography is easier to find than you might think. Professionals that do them are aware of the budget constraints that today’s couples face, and they are willing to work with the couples to come up with a solution to fit that couple’s style and budget requirements. One of the first decisions that couples must make regarding marriage photography is whether to go with traditional film one or the newer and increasingly popular digital marriage one. Both styles have distinct pros and cons. If your marriage will be of a more traditional style, you may wish to follow tradition and select the film one. Film also provides a softer feel for certain styles of photography. The major disadvantage to film is the inability to preview the photographs immediately. While any professional photographer will be able to take excellent photos without the immediate feedback, couples whose marriage picture includes difficult action shots may feel more secure knowing that the photographer is able to preview and reshoot photos as necessary. Digital photography is the wave of the future. More and more photographers are starting to turn to the digital one as their preferred medium. Digital imaging allows the photographer the freedom to experiment with tricky shots, as he or she will know immediately whether the shot was a success. It also allows the photographer to snap virtually limitless numbers of photos rather than being tied to a certain number of rolls for budgetary purposes. Wedding photography has come a long way over the years. Now that more couples are in charge of designing their weddings from beginning to end, the role of the professional photographer has changed from one of the expert who orchestrated all the shots to a team member who works with the couple to achieve the right style of photos. Visit as many studios as you can. Narrow your choices down to the ones that offer you the most affordable one, and then narrow the decision down further by choosing the one that best fits your style. Vicki & Tom @ the island wide winter kick off
An eccentric philosophy professor gave a one question final exam after a semester dealing with a broad array of topics. The class was already seated and ready to go when the professor picked up his chair, plopped it on his desk and wrote on the board: “Using everything we have learned this semester, prove that this chair does not exist.” Fingers flew, erasers erased, notebooks were filled in furious fashion. Some students wrote over 30 pages in one hour attempting to refute the existence of the chair. One member of the class however, was up and finished in less than a minute. Weeks later when the grades were posted, the student who finished in one minute got an A. The rest of the group wondered how he could have gotten an A when he had barely written anything at all. This is what he wrote: chair?”

Little Larry attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horse’s legs and rump, and chest. After a few minutes, Larry asked, ‘Dad, why are you doing that?’ His father replied, ‘Because when I’m buying horses, I have to make sure that they are healthy and in good shape before I buy. Larry, looking worried, said, ‘Dad, I think the UPS guy wants to buy Mom ....’

The Girl Around Town By Natalie Cooper On my trip to the mall this weekend, I noticed something as I strolled along, casually making my way from store to store. Directly in the center of the mall, I spotted a giant castle. This, naturally, grabbed my attention and surfaced the inner child in me, and I annoyingly nagged my friends to go over and see what this castle was all about. But then I noticed something else when we neared the magnificent palace with sparkly white walls and diamond blue cones covering the roof—a small little sign hanging over the ruby red double-doors that read, “The North Pole.” I circled around to the other side of the castle and saw some workers setting up Santa’s chair, along with some scattered Christmas trees and peppermint walkways leading up to the entrance. My friends and I looked at each other, deeming it a little odd that Greenville was already preparing for Santa’s visit, which was over a month away. This angers me a little bit, not to say I don’t enjoy Christmas, but mostly because people seem to grow anxious awaiting Christmas and wrapped up in preparing for it that they, in turn, skip over a pretty good, and my personal favorite, holiday at the end of November—Thanksgiving. When I think about Thanksgiving, I think about home. I think about family, and I think about friends, and I think about the party we always have and of course, certainly, I think about food. So when I realized that I’d be returning to Wildwood sooner than I thought at the beginning of next week to share in the holiday festivities, needless to say I was excited. Growing up I always looked forward to Thanksgiving Day, mostly because I knew what it entailed of—my family. We’ve been doing to same thing repeatedly every year since I was little. And that, for me, is the best part—the tradition. Thanksgiving days at home are quite nice. The weather is normally cool, but not too chilly to the point where you can’t go outside without a jacket. The trees are normally orange and the leaves are falling, and the atmosphere is usually serene. Everything seems so peaceful. But this calm usually only lasts until approximately 1 o’clock in the afternoon, when it’s time to hop in the car and head on over to my aunt and uncle’s offshore for Thanksgiving dinner. Every year I always imagine walking into their house when we first arrive because it’s always the same. My brothers and parents and I all straggle out of the car carrying pots and pans of a little bit of everything my mom spent feverously preparing the day before for our meal (she has a pretty solid reputation for her marshmallow sweet potatoes). It’s a hassle really, carting everything over there. But then we open the door, and we’re greeted by people—people we haven’t seen since maybe last year. People that hurriedly take everything out of our arms to help us and then set it down on the counter before embracing us. And then it’s all worth it. And I’m not talking about just a few people. I’m talking about a crowd of 60, maybe more, all gathered together, spilling stories and sharing conversations with one another over the 12 turkeys my uncle usually cooks, along with the other gourmet foods everyone brought set out on the counter buffet style. We stay there hours after dinner, usually all night. We go back for seconds, sometimes thirds. We gather at the two dining hall sized tables in the kitchen and play Trivial Pursuit and Rummikub, while we make cold sandwiches from the leftover turkey. And there are always leftovers. But last Thanksgiving night was a little different. We added something new to our tradition. While we were all seated and gathered, my uncle called everyone together and brought the room down to a dull murmur before we ate. He picked up a jar sitting on the counter nearby and set it down in the middle of the table. Throughout the course of the night, that jar became filled with paper slips—slips that contained the things that everyone was thankful for that year—slips that we had to fill out when we first arrived. But of course, we all forgot about this and were in no way prepared for our thanks to be read aloud. So we sat for a half hour and read every single slip. And the things people were thankful for varied on a wide scale: toys, food, money, success, good health, a good year ahead, etc. But a lot of them had one repeated theme—one thing that most people were thankful for, and that was family. And friends. And being together. Because to us, that’s what really matters, not just during Thanksgiving, but all the time.
