Useless Information Marriage is a great institution, but who wants to live in an institution. Grocho Marx

Newt’s Got My Vote! Why? He’s going to lower the price of gas to $2 a Gallon

AMISH MALL STORY:

Forget the 3 ex wives. Forget the fact that he was censored by the US Senate. Forget that he was shill for Freddy Mac. Forget that his current wife had a 6 month adulterous affair with him. Forget all that stuff. Newt makes Bill Clinton look like a boy scout. Just forget it. Why? Newt’s going to bring the price of gas down to $2.00 a gallon. I don’t care how he does it, I don’t even care if can’t produce on his promise. What I care about is that someone FINALLY addressed the elephant in the room. Iran said they are going to stop sending oil to France and England. England doesn’t import oil from Iran. France imports 1 percent of its oil from Iran. But oil prices go up because of what Iran said. Crazy!! And no candidate addresses the oil and gas issues . . . until Newt. So, you gotta think that the guy’s onto something. Every 10 cent increase in the price of gas takes $200,000,000 out of the economy. Money that could be used to buy cars, washers and dryers, etc.

AND ANOTHER THING We’re starting a grass roots campaign, remember you heard it here first . . . “If it doesn’t say ‘made in the USA’ don’t buy it!! How to weigh yourself and get the most accurate result. I can’t believe I have been doing it wrong all these years!

An Amish boy and his father were visiting a nearby mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny silver walls that moved apart and back together again by themselves. The lad asked, “What is this, father?” The father, having never seen an elevator, responded, “I have no idea what it is.” While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed, an old lady in a wheelchiar roled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched as small circles lit up above the walls. The walls opened up again and a beautiful twenty-four year old woman stepped out. The father looked at the son anxiously and said, “Go get your mother.” SAY WHAT? Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to a doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the dotor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, “You’re really doing great, aren’t you?” Morris replied, “Just doing what you said, Doc: “Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.” The doctor said, “I didn’t say that... “You’ve got a heart murmur; be careful!” WHAT CAME FIRST . . . THE CHICKEN OR THE EGG Did you hear about the woman who entered a psychiatrist’s office for a scheduled appointment. During her session she mentioned her Uncle Harold. “What’s the matter with Uncle Harold?” asked the psychiatrist. He thinks he’s a chicken,” replied the woman. “You should bring him to see me!” explained the psychiatrist. “Well I would,” said the woman, “but we need the eggs.” WildwoodMag.com | 17

A man bought a new Mercedes to celebrate his wife leaving him and was out on the interstate for a nice evening drive. The top was down, the breeze was blowing through what was left of his hair and he decided to open her up. As the needle jumped up to 80 mph, he suddenly saw flashing red and blue lights behind him. “There’s no way they can catch a Mercedes,” he thought to himself and opened her up further. The needle hit 90, 100.....Then the reality of the situation hit him. “What am I doing?” he thought and pulled over. The cop came up to him, took his license without a word and examined it and the car. “It’s been a long hard day, this is the end of my shift and it’s Friday the 13th. I don’t feel like more paperwork, I don’t need the frustration or the overtime, so if you can give me a really good excuse for your driving that I haven’t heard before, you can go.” The guy thinks about it for a second and says, “Last week my nagging wife ran off with a cop. I was afraid you were trying to give her back!”

The Free Meal Center making last ditch effort to avoid eviction What started as a vision to open a daily soup kitchen in Cape May County has now turned into a last minute effort to raise funds for a down payment on their facility. The Free Meal Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit, needs $50,000 by March 31 to avoid being evicted from its home at 1206 Route 9 South in the Burleigh section of Middle Township. ‘The most distressing part of this whole thing is that we have a solid commitment from a benefactor to pay off the entire $325,000 price,” said Douglas Jewell, a local realtor who along with his wife Joyce is the founder of the TFMC. “Unfortunately, the seller is unwilling to wait for the funds to arrive if we don’t close on the 2.3 acre property by March 31st. We’ve been ordered to vacate the property April 1st.” The Jewell’s are donating their $10,000 commission from the sale to the down payment, leaving $40,000 still to be raised. “We have to be pro-active in case the $325,000 check doesn’t arrive in time. The terms of the sales contract call for the owner to hold a mortgage for us with $50,000 down. Right now, we have to pursue that option,” Jewell said. TFMC took possession of the property March 15, 2010. “Since that time nearly 500 volunteers have given of their time to help spruce up the grounds and gut and renovate the aging building. We’ve had church groups, school groups, boy scouts, retired

folks, business people and contractors all pitch in to help make the soup kitchen a reality,” Jewell said. “We’ve come so far and it would be a shame to be derailed so close to the finish line.” TFMC plans to open later in 2012. Lunch will be served yearround Monday through Saturday, plus breakfast on Saturdays. The meals will be open to anyone who walks through the door, no questions asked. “Checks for donations towards the down payment can be made out to ‘Shore Title Company’, thereby ensuring that if the $50,000 goal is not met everyone will get their check back,” Jewell said. The mailing address for contributions is: The Free Meal Center, PO Box 863, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. “TFMC will also accept any size loan from any business, institute or benefactor, which would be paid back once we receive the $325,000.” TFMC is down but not out. “Worst case scenario if we get evicted is we either still buy the property once our large funding comes through or we purchase another property,” Jewell noted. “TFMC will survive one way or the other. Too many hungry folks are counting on us.” For more information, call Douglas Jewell at 609-780-7129.
