All Wiley X lenses meet the strictest ANSI optical clarity requirements We tirelessly test all of our lenses for refractive, resolving astigmatism and prismatic powers Unlike ordinary lenses that can bend light and distort the true size of objects, our lenses are de-centered and tapered to ensure true spatial relationship of objects and distortion-free clarity

Our proprietary Filter 8™ polarized lens technology filters light to reduce glare and block reflective light It includes two Slick™ hydrophobic coatings, two Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses, two T-Shell™ scratch-resistant layers, one Violet 4™ anti-reflective coating, and a Filter 8™ polarized film layer that creates 100% polarization and gives you 100% UV protection This process increases durability and ultimately extends the life of your eyewear

ANSI Z87 1 is the American National Standard for Occupational and Education Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices It contains performance specifications, and markings of eye and facial safety products — setting the standards they must meet for protection and optical clarity Products in this category include spectacles, goggles and face shields (among others)
