T h e p r o j ect was imagined as a series of p r o p o s i t i ons within a framework, centred a r o u n d a n ever-changing tower that houses t h e g r o w ing collection of architectural f r a g m e n t s. Framework decisions on a e s t h e t i c s, proportion and overall s t r a t e g y were developed throughout the s e m e s t e r , in conjunction with a number of p o s s i b l e design proposals that followed or c h a l l e ng e d these g uidelin es.
Over time, the tower itself becomes a par t of it s own pr ocess of const r u ct ion, taking on different structural expression s and assimilating the fragments it stores within. The tower grows forever upwards as t he collect ion d evelops, par t of a neverending process of acquiring and expanding t he bod y of knowled ge.
