Who can audition for campus productions and ensembles?
Willamette University’s Theatre and Music departments hold “open call” auditions. This means auditions are open to every Willamette student, regardless of major. This policy aligns with our mission as a liberal arts university and is meant to encourage our students to indulge their varied interests.
Willamette’s Theatre program produces 3-4 main stage plays, 1 musical, and various student projects each season, offering acting and technical opportunities.
While some on-campus creative spaces are reserved for majors, we welcome non-majors to explore their artistic side and participate in classes, productions, ensembles, and student-run arts organizations.

Willamette Dance Company is open to students from all majors, regardless of experience level, fostering connections and friendships over a shared love of dance. Each semester’s dance concert is choreographed by student members and can feature more than 100 participants.
