Most online agents might put up a for sale board, list on Rightmove and have en expert visit your home one time. But they leave you to handle viewings, offers and negotiations yourself. A major headache in a tricky market when price negotiation is key and missed viewings means missed pounds.

Some online players charge an upfront commission fee, but once this is paid what incentive remains for them to actually get you the highest price? Are they really going to bother?
