The average property price in the area is £398,895 and prices over the last 12 months have gone up 21%, which is staggering considering the sluggishness of the rest of the market.
The many attractions of Camberwell Camberwell has benefited from lots of new build developments popping up and the regeneration of neighbouring Elephant & Castle. It is an area with broad appeal, catering to foodies and families alike with top notch restaurants, and beautiful housing stock of Victorian and Georgian properties. Local primary schools, such as Lyndhurst and Bessemer Grange are also highly sought after.
The transport links are excellent from Denmark Hill (trains to Victoria in 10 minutes) and the high street is slowly, but surely improving. It is a Zone 2 area which has been consistently undervalued…but not for much longer. Who needs overpriced Clapham, when you can have seriously up up up and coming Camberwell? Invest in the area now – prices won’t stay low for long.
