Durango Blues Train Almost Sold Out! Limited Friday Tickets Available August 22-23, 2014 (Durango, CO) August 18, 2014 – The last Durango Blues Train of the year takes place this weekend, August 22 nd and 23rd in Durango, Colorado. Presented by the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and SBG Productions, this unique event takes place aboard the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in Durango, Colorado for two unforgettable evenings. Each evening will feature a different lineup of six live blues artists, to passengers traveling aboard the historic coal-fired, steam-powered train as it winds through the spectacular canyons of the Colorado San Juan National Forest. The August Blues Train to excite to welcome award winning musical guests Matthew Curry, Alex Maryol, Kirk James, Kipori Woods, Leon J, One Roof Blues, Scotty Spenner, Franco Paletta, Rockin Jake, Donny Morales, and C.W.Ayon. Each artist performs in a different vintage coach car, while passengers are free to sample the different musical acts by traveling from one rail car to next. The Blues train experience begins at the historic train depot where the steam engine fires up and it's all aboard for an experience of a lifetime. Passengers aboard will experience spectacular and breathtaking canyon views of Colorado's San Juan National Forest as the train winds onto the "Highline," a world famous section of railroad crawling along cliffs high above the Animas River, for an unforgettable musical journey. Guests can enjoy a beer and wine cash bar with light snacks while riding the train. Tickets are $95 per person, plus a 7% Historic Train Preservation fee. Tickets are extremely limited and purchasers must be 21 years old to participate. Tickets for both 2014 Durango Blues Train events, May 30-31 and August 22-23, 2014 are currently on sale now.
