William Penn (P) Ltd was established in India during 2002 and was the first multi-brand retailer to offer fine writing instruments to consumers in India.
The first store in Koramangala, Bangalore was conceived as a walkthrough format stationery store to sell premium products, at that time an innovative concept. However, more than the success it achieved in selling conventional stationery, it helped discover the enormous interest of the Indian customer in acquiring fine writing instruments, hitherto unavailable in the Indian markets. This gave birth to our first Penn store @ Forum Mall, Bangalore which opened in 2004, where we showcase popular international brands like Montblanc, Caran d’Ache, Sailor, Sheaffer, Lamy, Lapis Bard, etc, the likes of which were earlier not seen on shelves of the Indian stores.
In the years that followed, the company has gone from strength to strength establishing 32 stores across India, in major cities, including Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune
