Two Rivers Cleaning Service, Inc. (TRCS), located in Williamsburg since 2005, specializes in commercial office cleaning for all types and sizes of business. TRCS is an independent franchise of Coverall North America (www.coverall. com), located in Virginia Beach. Owners Kevin and Jennifer Cryts and partner Joe Burns have teamed up to become the state’s largest grossing Coverall franchise and one of the top 50 among over 9,000 independent Coverall franchise owners in the country. TRCS serves its clients with a customized work schedule based on their needs and specific site requirements – whether daily, weekly or monthly – to ensure their facilities have a continuously clean, well maintained appearance. A high level of service and personal care from day one reflects the TRCS philosophy of “earning your business every day.” TRCS joined the Alliance in 2008, and Kevin is the vice president of the Alliance networking group, “The Captains of Commerce.” The Alliance has enabled TRCS to network with many members of the business community to not only gain new customers, but also to refer other customers with different needs to qualified Alliance members. This networking has helped TRCS achieve rapid growth and a solid reputation for top-quality service and customer relations that otherwise would have taken much longer to establish. As Kevin says, “We are proud to say we are members of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance – and that we run a clean business.”

Fuel Price Protection Program Now Available to Members

Message from the President After almost a quarter of a century, the heart, soul and institutional memory of this organization is taking leave to enjoy a well-earned retirement. Bob Hershberger will leave us effective June 30. Bob is the kind of person whose warmth and caring make each of us feel special. That is certainly true in our Bob Hershberger office and, I know, with Alliance members and members of the Williamsburg community alike. We will miss his daily presence at the Alliance. Bob has guided the Chamber & Tourism Alliance through 25 chairs/ presidents and three different office locations. He has worked with dozens of staff members, well over 1,000 members and untold elected officials during his tenure. I have never heard anything but positive comments. He was the right person for the job he was asked to do starting in 1986 and continues to be to this day.

A career can be evaluated using many metrics. Most of all, I think the best measure is the character of the person. Bob Hershberger is nothing if not an honorable man. I have been privileged to call him my partner for the last five years, and I could not have asked for a better one. He has counseled me and guided me. He has been my friend.

The high regard in which Bob is held can be seen in the many organizations that have sought his

We can all be happy that Bob will remain associated with the Alliance as coordinator of the Leadership Historic Triangle program. It is fitting that the person who oversaw its creation be the same person who will now guide its future development. I know Bob will remain engaged as an important member of our community. We will be the better for it.

Through a new arrangement between ChamberSolutions and Pricelock, Inc, the company that provides fuel price predictability to businesses of all sizes, the Alliance offers a simple, cost- effective way to protect businesses from fuel price volatility. This program, geared primarily to small and mid-sized companies, can minimize businesses’ exposure to rising fuel prices, protecting their bottom lines with no change to how they currently purchase fuel. Members have the flexibility of defining a fuel protection plan specific to their business needs. In addition, the program provides a commuter benefit option that enables members to offer subsidized fuel costs to their employees, a benefit that can aid in personnel retention and recruitment. With Pricelock’s fuel price protection, businesses receive a payout when national average fuel prices rise above their set protection price. Fuel price protection does not entail pre-purchasing fuel, so businesses benefit from lower fuel prices at the pump when prices fall. Pricelock’s employee commuter benefit enables firms to give their employees a fuel card with their company logo that provides a discount and/or cap on fuel prices, enabling businesses to address employees’ concerns with the rising price of their commute. Pricelock works closely with participating businesses to customize a program that best meets their company objectives and budget. To find out more about how this new Alliance member program can benefit your business, visit pricelock.com for more information.

His career has covered the advertising and publishing fields as well as fine arts. His illustrations have appeared in many publications, and his painting and limited edition prints are widely collected.
