Hello
HELLO!
I am an Ergonomics student with a passion for great design. I believe through user centered design, you can truly improve people’s lives. For me, few things are as important as design, they include, walking, reading, documentaries and coffee. Lots of coffee. ‘Typical’ right... This is a collection of my most recent work.

Roche Starting July 2015, I joined the Roche Product Design Management Team in Mannheim, Germany as a User Experience Design Intern. My experience at Roche was rich and diverse. I had the pleasure of working on multiple, ongoing mobile application projects. Unfortunately, I cannot show work and designs from Roche. I can however, show some of the design process and skills developed during this time (see right). Duration: 6 months (July 2015 - December 2015)

e.on University project for the energy company e.on to introduce gamification aimed to help users save money and energy. The environment is the most important aspect of our planet, yet, we take it for granted every day. This was a project aimed to introduce and practice user research methods, develop and test designs, then create an Axure prototype. Module: User Experience Design Team of 5
8
We discussed the hunt statement, user, experience and life goals, not to mention mobile application usage. This aided the persona development.
Interview
The site map was created, providing a backbone to storyboards, wireframes (see next page) and the application development.
Site Map
9
A typical user was selected to go through various scenarios. Comments were used to aid design improvements.
User Testing
10
The POP mobile application was used to go through wireframe scenarios.
POP
The app was developed through user testing and comments to high fidelity screens (see next page).
Development 11
This page shows a scenario in which a user invites their rival house in Loughborough to challenge and save on their heating.
Scenario
12
They invite their rival, and when notified of the start of the challenge, they are prompted to decrease their home thermostat temperature.

As per usual, wireframes proved a vital part of the progress of the project. They took form as whiteboard sketches, paper and on Illustrator.
Wireframes
After the designs were finalised, the team gave a group presentation to our class and tutors. We found that ‘Prezi’ presentation worked well.
Prezi The final section of the project was to generate a group executive summary. An individual report combining all knowledge gained throughout the project was also submitted.

Fetch Fetch is a concept idea to help dog owners find new places to walk, places they can eat or stay with their dogs, not to mention help them find vets in an emergency. This was a project aimed to introduce and practice user and usability testing for a mobile application. Module: Human Computer Interaction Team of 4
18
Initially, the team brainstormed various ideas that could be beneficial for dog owners.
Brainstorming
smart phone use We asked dog owners for their thoughts and ideas in regards to a specific app for them. Based upon three main categories (right).
dog walks
travelling with pets
Questionaires
Whiteboard and paper wireframes were initially created to develop the application in greater detail.
Wireframes
19
Typical users were selected to go through four scenarios for each application section, they were monitored on errors, success. upon completion filled out a Microsoft reaction cards.
User Testing 20
After user testing was completed, impressions were gathered and compiled to guide towards a final design.
Improvements
The final stage of the project was to report the user test and improvement recommendations in an objective mannor.
Report 21
BSc Ergonomics at Loughborough University I am studying BSc Ergonomics (Human Factors) at Loughborough University and my course allows me to spend my third year in ergonomic design related employment. We have covered a wide range of modules (see right) relating to ergonomic design allowing each student to develop interests in various areas. This allowed me to develop interests in UX, HCI and Qualitative Methods. All three are vital to great design.
