Stream Design -
The stream that cuts through the project site follows the same path of the Maumee River - on which Toledo itself lies - and is intended to be an educational tool for visitors and locals alike. Along the banks there are to be plaques at the site of each city or town that lies on the banks of the river relative to their actual placement that outlines the history of the surrounding settlements since their establishment.

Project Site Integration Found at the Northern corner of the intersection of W Third Street and N Williams Street, the project site stands on some of the most important land in Dayton. Found just to the South less than a block away is the National Aviation Heritage Museum, the original Wright Brothers Cycle Shop, and the warehouse where Wilbur and Orville Wright built the first airplane. With so much important history near the project site, pedestrian appoach is supremely important to the design of the NFI. This is why the parking lot is found detached; in order to allow for the proper degree of pedestrian approach from the South.

The exposed structure throughout the NFI evokes the industrial and historic nature of Northwest Dayton. Most structures in the area are a combination of brick and steel with a dated interior while keeping a modest exterior. With a focus on updated and visible structural LONGITUDINAL elements, along with the consistent materiality A 1/16” = 1’-0” and proper site integration, the NFI can truly serve as an example of how revitalization of the area may affect Dayton’s architectural expression.

In collaboration with my fellow group members Jack Collins and Ben Kaufman we are actively working to get a full scale model of the Catalyst built and installed at the Simpson Garden Park in 6’-0” 5'-11 7/16" Bowling Green, Ohio. This is meant to be used as the intended; as an interactive playset/sculpture that encourages users to use their imagination.

Victorian Tiny House - Fall 2019

Parti Statement Provide an independent living situation for graduate students that uses modern space design while fitting in with the context of the surrounding architecture.
Project Approach Most of the private residences in Bowling Green, Ohio are designed with Victorian architectural elements. The Victorian Tiny House is meant to follow the design of the surrounding architecture while still ample modern living space for the user. This is done by using an open floor plan with included loft space in order to maximize square footage and usability.
Site Axonometric (Hand Drafted) Scale: 1” = 25’-0”

Site Design Since the Victorian Tiny House is designed for a Graduate Student living near their campus, the ability to house a car is supremely important, along with exterior amenities like a pergola, planters, and modern tiled landscaping.

Eagle Scout Project In the Fall of 2017 I designed, constructed, and installed my Eagle Scout Project at Baer Park in Waterville, Ohio in collaboration with the Waterville Parks & Recreation Committee. The project itself is a custom designed arena that is meant to be used to play a game called Gaga Ball; which can only be described as dodgeball from the waste down. The arena is constructed of pressure treated lumber, galvanized steel nuts and bolts, and customized corner plates. A plaque outlining the rules of Gaga Ball were installed along with a plaque claiming the arena as my Eagle Scout Project. The arena still stands there today and will for years to come.
