When I was a child, because of my parents' career move, I had the opportunity to experience various indoor environments. I like to walk around the room along one side of the wall, so I often find that there are areas in the space that could be improved. So, I thought I would be an interior designer when I grew up.

Project 1 Memory Space Different ways of remembering in patients with aphantasia Date: April 2023 Location: Shanghai, China Personal work
For many, visual imagery is intrinsic to how they think, remember past events and plan for the future – a process they engage in and experience without actively trying to. But it turns out that this isn’t true for everyone. Some people, when asked to form an image, will report they cannot “see” anything. This recently-identified variation of human experience was named in 2015 as aphantasia. Although patients with aphantasia were unable to create mental images, they were still able to remember the contents of the space with normal people. Therefore, through this project, I will use five unique memory ways to combine my childhood memories with five senses to present them.
Concept
Data Analysis
Aphantasia is the inability to actively create a mental picture. While most people can conjure up a scene or a face in their mind, people with anechoichia cannot picture a scene, person, or object, even if the object is very familiar. If you were to ask a person with anaesthesia to imagine something, they might be able to describe the object, explain the concept, but they would not be able to experience any form of mental image that goes along with that knowledge.
a. Multi-Sensory Imagery (QMI) b. Trauma Response (PCL-5)
c. Night Dreams (SERS)
The phenomenon got its name when cognitive neuroscientist Adam Zeman coined the term "Aphantasia" in 2015. The name comes from the ancient Greek word "a," meaning "without," and "phantasia," meaning "imagination."

Project 2 Eternal Return Life is a cycle Date: July 2022 Location: Shanghai, China Personal work
Death is actually a very illusory thing, no one knows what people will become after death, or whether they will gain a new life. The ancient Egyptians believed that a person's soul would not die after death, so the Pharaoh was mummified after his death. Today, some people still have blood changes to extend their lives. However, these methods of pursuing eternal life from ancient times are obviously still impossible to achieve, and it reflects people's ignorance and fear of death. But for me, while death represents the end of a life, it also signifies the beginning of a new life. Therefore, I hope that through this project, people can follow the long river of history in Pompeii, experience the process of life, re-examine death, and accept and face it calmly.
Background
The Grand Theatre of Pompeii was built on a natural hill in the second century BC. With a capacity of around 4,000 spectators, it was one of the first permanent stone theatres in Rome.
The second stage of death - resurrection Religion believes that after death the soul enters the spirit world and goes through a waiting period until it is 'resurrected'. It is like an embryo slowly growing and waiting in the womb.

Pompeii
Pandora Extinction
Zeus gave Pandora a pithos that could not be opened.
Pompeii is an ancient city located near Naples in the Campania region of Italy. It was buried under 4 to 6 metres of ash and pumice during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Constructed
Pandora unleashed all the evil in the box.
Destroyed
Pompeii is built on a coastal lava plateau some 40 m above sea level, which was formed by an earlier eruption of Mount Vesuvius. The plateau descends steeply to the south and partly to the west into the sea.
Resurrection Pyrrha and Deucalion discovered the elpis locked inside Pandora's box.
The first stage of death - extinction The first thing that happens after death is the decay of the physical body and the detachment of the consciousness. Eventually the consciousness dissipates and the body is decomposed by micro-organisms, thus returning to nature.
Pyrrha and Deucalion created new human beings.
Story

Resurrection: The Swing The swing frame is circular, representing circulation. All swings swing inwards. The swing frame divides the inside and the outside into two areas, the inside symbolizes new life and the outside symbolizes death. It is a metaphor for Pyrrha and Deucalion who survived the disaster and others who unfortunately died in the disaster.
Extinction: Powered Windmill History A week after several earthquakes and other signs of volcanic activity, Mount Vesuvius erupted and the entire Pompeii was covered under volcanic ash more than six meters deep.
The shape of the "windmills" on both sides creates an effect of rolling waves. It creates a dynamic that puts people in the context of the moment. The tumbling of the waves corresponds to the village that was flooded after Pandora opened the box, and the red waves are the waves that hit Pompeii during the volcanic eruption. Whether it is waves or magma, the devastating disasters brought about have caused countless casualties.
History The ancient city of Pompeii was rediscovered because of the discovery of carved ancient walls when the underground water channel was opened to divert the water from the Sano River. The excavations were carried out under the patronage of the King and Queen of Naples.

History
Rebirth: The Labyrinth
Today's Pompeii has been designated as a world cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO. Tourists call it a "natural history museum", which attracts tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world to visit here every day.
Sketch
The labyrinth of the Greek world is a negative symbol, associated with fear and an overwhelming sense of evil. But once you get out of the maze, you will be greeted with light and hope. For most people, death brings fear and new life brings hope.
With the spine as the main element, simple deformations are created through a series of bends and twists. Part of the spine is then connected to divide the space and create intricate maze routes.
Sectional view
Key words: labyrinth, swing, windmill, bone, lycorisradiata
Bones are the things that last the longest after death and are the product of the continuation of death. Life and death are so close to us that we cannot see them, but bones support our bodies on the inside. Life is a grand decay. After thousands of years, bones will decay, and on this rotten soil, new life will eventually be born, Lycorisradiata is the best representative.
Project 3 The Butterfly Lovers A new type of opera combining Chinese opera with cyberpunk aesthetics. Date: February 2023 Location: Shanghai, China Personal work
Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai (The Butterfly Lovers) is one of The four great love stories of ancient Chinese folk, and The Butterfly Lovers. It is also a traditional Shaoxing opera. When I was young, I followed my grandfather to see the Butterfly Lovers in the ancestral hall in the village. But with the development of the Internet, traditional Chinese opera has gradually disappeared from people's lives. Therefore, I hope to combine traditional Chinese opera and Internet technology to create a new type of opera, attracting more people to understand and fall in love with opera.

During this period, Zhu Yingtai disguised herself as a man and tricked her father into studying. For the society that only allowed men to study at that time, Zhu Yingtai broke this bad habit and created the first conflict in the whole Butterfly Lovers story.
Here is the fourth conflict in the story, Zhu Yingtai's father offers her a marriage, but Zhu Yingtai does not want to accept the marriage, and has already made a private life with Liang Shanbo. This behavior greatly impacted the social system of arranged marriage at that time.

The second conflict in the story occurred during this period, when Zhu Yingtai dressed up as a man and became sworn brothers to Liang Shanbo. Zhu Yingtai used her fake identity to study with Liang Shanbo for three years, and fooled Liang Shanbo.
Zhu Yingtai dares to boldly pursue her own happiness, which is the last conflict in the story. On the way to marry Ma, Zhu Yingtai passes Liang Shanbo's cemetery, and then she bumps into Liang Shanbo's grave and dies, turning into a butterfly together with Liang Shanbo.

Follow the steps below to build the five scenes of the story of Butterfly Lovers
turned into butterflies
Chapter 1 The old house and structure of this space were preserved, and the damaged parts of the space were restored through scaffolding. Through the extension of the scaffolding, a platform for the audience to enjoy the opera was built. The platform is roughly divided into three layers, providing different viewing heights, and the audience can adjust their best viewing Angle according to the position of the actors.
This space is the old ancestral hall in the village. On the basis of preserving the original structure of the ancestral hall, it has made an extension with scaffolding and gauze woven from optical fiber silk, symbolizing the endless yearning of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. On the opposite side of the ancestral hall, a stepped seat was built with scaffolding. The audience sitting on the stairs, through the optical fiber wire, you can vaguely see the actors in the ancestral hall, the looming performance also indicates that the identity of Zhu Yingtai is about to be revealed.
Chapter 3
In this space, a bridge shaped platform in the shape of a flowing water is used to connect the left and right parts of the space. The left half of the space is the auditorium and the right half is the stage. Actors can go to the audience through the bridge in the middle to better interact with the audience and increase the audience's sense of experience. The winding of the bridge also symbolizes the deep bond between Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, and lays the foundation for the subsequent 18-mile farewell.
Chapter 2
The shape of the whole space is like a silkworm chrysalis, but the space is semiopen, which also symbolizes the ending of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai turning into butterflies. The center of the whole space is the stage, with a circle of platforms rising upward. The audience can walk up the platform, or stop on the platform to watch the actors perform. The upper part of the space is also hung by several small boxes like silkworm pupae, at the end of the play, the boxes will be opened out, so that the audience can also experience the feeling of cocoon-breaking.
Chapter 5
Chapter 4 This space is similar to a bird's cage, symbolizing the rules and constraints of the old society for women, who are like canaries in the cage. But the cage is incomplete, proving that Zhu Yingtai tried his best to break out of this cage. The cage is surrounded by a streamlined device that connects the top of the cage with the surrounding ground, as well as Zhu Yingtai in the cage and Liang Shanbo outside.
