URIS A & Children’s Respite Services URIS A Program VON provides nursing support for children with special health care needs when they are apart from their families and caregivers through one on one nursing support at school. For more information regarding these, or other VON Vitality Custom Health Care services, please call (204) 775-1693.

Children’s Respite Respite is available to families of chronically ill children who are physically or intellectually handicapped. A VON nurse and the child’s caregiver develop a plan of support for the family and the patient. For a minimum of six hours per week, trained health aides provide personal services to relieve regular caregivers. Immunizations & Mantoux testing Seasonal Influenza (Flu Shots) “What are you bringing to work this flu season? The flu is extremely contagious. It is also a productivity killer. Approximately 7.5 million workdays are lost to the flu in Canada annually. On average, people with the flu miss three to five workdays. If they go to work with the flu, their productivity drops by 50 percent and they can pass the influenza virus on. Co-workers also experience a drop in productivity. The flu costs your business more than you think. In addition to the flu shot, VON provides vaccinations to protect against Hepatitis A and B. We also do Mantoux one and two step testing. Competitive pricing. Flexible clinic times. For more information regarding VON Immunization Clinics or to book a flu clinic for your company or organization, please call (204) 775-1693 or visit http://www.von.ca/en/flu/flu.aspx.
