Friday 9th October 2020 Dear Parents First of all I would like to say thank you for your kind messages of support and understanding during this very challenging time. It is lovely that you are 100% behind us in what we are trying to achieve for your children. Across our Academy we have more than 100 children who are self isolating, this is causing much anxiety for us all, as we know that children, families and our wonderful staff are contracting the coronavirus and becoming ill. However, I am happy to say that since Monday we have had no new positive tests reported and those who have the virus continue to improve. This is the best news we could wish for, so please continue to work with us to keep everyone safe. Containing the virus is the first important step in eradicating it. This is our aim so that we can keep our schools open, reopen our bubbles and so that your children can enjoy their education in school. We are trialling our new remote learning policy as you know, and this is working very well. Thank you to those isolating parents and children for ensuring that your children connect with their teacher on a daily basis, both in the live lessons and through their independent learning. I want to say a massive thank you also to all our team for doing such an amazing job and for approaching these daily challenges in such a positive way. As we approach the weekend please remember about the Rule of Six and maintaining the Hands, Face, Space guidance to protect everyone. This has proven to work and this guidance has further supported us in tightening our routines in school even further. We are busy planning our Pupil Progress Calls with you, these will replace Parents’ Evening, we are hoping for 100% attendance please. Also our Harvest Festivals are coming up and although we won’t be able to ask for donations of food, we will think of some way to help those less fortunate than us.
