Completing Assignments You can either access your tasks as shown on the page before or follow the steps below. 1) On the Classwork tab, find the assignment you need to complete and click/tap it to expand and show the task. If it is a new task, it will be blue. Completed tasks turn grey. 2) Then click on ‘View assignment’ to get more information and to open any files attached. 3) The due date is shown in the top right corner. 4) The assignment status is under the due date. Assigned – set by the teacher but it hasn’t been completed or handed in by the pupil. Handed in – pupil has completed the work and sent it to the teacher. Marked – the teacher has seen the work and returned it. Sometimes, there may also be a score given or comment made. Once you have viewed your assignment there are various ways to complete your task, your teacher may ask you to complete it in a specific way: 1. Complete the slides that your teacher has sent you. Open the file, there will be pages for you to edit and type in. You can click off this at any point and it will be saved automatically. You can then press Hand in when it is finished. This is the easiest way to complete your tasks.

You can leave your teacher a comment for example, if you weren’t too sure whether you worked out question 2 correctly. This comment will stay between you and your class teacher. 2. On the image above you can see that it allows you to attach a file, this means you can attach a picture, a slide or a doc which you have completed your work on. This can then be attached to the assignment and sent to your teacher for marking. If you have to do your work on paper, please submit by method 2, rather than sending the image on Dojo, or posting it on the stream. This means that all of the work is in the same place and it shows in the correct assignment.

If you click ‘Hand in’’, you will be taken back to the assignment page and asked whether you want to ‘Hand In’ (send to your teacher) or ‘Cancel’ (if you want to add a comment or add another file first).

Adding Comments for your teacher Once you have opened up your assignment, there are 2 ways you can contact your teacher: 1 2
