Spring Home Learning Tasks Literacy: Can you write a diary entry from the Steelman’s perspective? Create a newspaper report about the break ins that happened in the old Meadowhall (from our class story).
Numeracy: Can you present your 4, 8 and 6 times tables in a different way? Could you write a song or a rap to help the rest of the class learn their times tables? Can you create a graph to show the eye colour of all of your friends and family?
Our learning this term is all about the history of Sheffield and the steel industry, Meet my by the Steelmen will be our class book. We hope you can try and complete as many of these over the holidays as possible. Please send in one every 2 weeks.
History: Can you complete research about the history of Sheffield and the steel works? ICT: During this term we are also looking at how photography has changed over time. Can you take some pictures and compare this to older images?
Design Technology: Can you design and create a model or draw and label one of the steelmen that are outside Meadowhall? Can you create your own interactive or moveable steelman/figure?
Science: Can you explain how steel is made? This can be presented in any creative way! French: Create a poster showing the parts of the body in French
