The Tale of HJS and the Taskmaster Challenges
By the Staff and Children of HJS 2021
It was 22nd January 2021, a Friday morning during the third lockdown of the Covid pandemic. The week had been wet and gloomy, and people were beginning to become weary, ready for the weekend. Yet something special was happening in Herringthorpe. Children were rushing around collecting anything they could, to make a portrait. The sound of thundering footsteps running up and down the stairs could be heard in houses across the town. Cushions, tins of food and Lego were frantically being stacked and measured. Then there was quiet, as children (and dogs!) hid in a homemade den, ready for a picnic lunch. Here is the story of that day‌.

Well done to all of the children who took part and to all of the grown ups at home that didn’t complain too much about the mess! All of the staff loved seeing your fantastic creations and knowing that we had brought a smile to so many faces.
We are one day closer to being back together in school as each day of lockdown goes by. Keep smiling and keep being amazing!
