he gothic art is not the kind of style that you will see around everyday. It is the kind of style where you will see in the rebelious individuals. But it does not neccesarily has to be rebelious in some way. The writer feels that with the gothic art, he can truly explore his love for the art itself. The gothic art has inspired him from the time where the arts has become a part of his life. Most people will found that this kind of style is very hard to diggest, mostly because of the theme, which is sometimes disturbing for some individuals. But for the writer himself, this style can embrace the freakiness of things and turned it into something grand and beautiful. Something that is outside of one individuals normal mind. The writer also feels that art is about taking risks and chances. If you are playing safe, that means that you are not a brave artist, and courage is a main component that can build an artist’s creative mind. With the gothic style, you take so many risks already by choosing the theme that no one could diggest, not to mention the contrast of the unusually super delicate stroke or sometimes the most unperdictably messy strokes. So the thing about gothic that inspired the writer is their uniqueness, bravery, and their boldness in delivering their message

It spread to all of Western Europe, but took over art more completely north of the Alps, never quite effacing more classical styles in Italy. In the late 14th century, the sophisticated court style of International Gothic developed, which continued to evolve until the late 15th century. In many areas, especially Germany, Late Gothic art continued well into the 16th century, before being subsumed into Renaissance art. Primary media in the Gothic period included sculpture, panel painting, stained glass, fresco and illuminated manuscript. The easily recognisable shifts in architecture from Romanesque to Gothic, and Gothic to Renaissance periods in art in all media, although oped at a different pace.

Introduction Out From Darkness A book of inspiration of Modern Gothic art
Gothic is an art movement that was developed on France out of Romanesque art. It comes from a german word “Goth” which means emotion and “Barbaric”, making the meaning “barbarically as it developed, it managed to broaden it’s horizon into paintings, sculptures, and any other graphic. Its original style was to express the deepest emotion within by creating great artwork that is bigger than the artist themselves. It was also known for it’s ellegance, dark and grande style. Now, it has been developed even more. Some interpret it into more of a surrealist art and some interpret it by using unique dark yet disstinguished style. it was however still served its original purpose, which is expressing deepest emotion within. Even though modern gothic chooses to blend it with other movement, it still shows the signature style of gothic, which is bold, unique, dark and distinguished colours, with a twisty concept from the artist.

rom was born March 9, 1965, in Albany, Georgia.]As the son of a U.S. Army pilot he spent much of his early years on the move, living in many countries such as Japan and Germany (he graduated from high school in Frankfurt, Germany), and U.S. states including Alabama and Hawaii. Brought up as a military dependent he was known by his last name only, and now signs his name as simply Brom. Brom has been drawing and painting since childhood, although he had never taken any formal art classes.[“I wouldn’t exactly call myself self-taught, because I’ve always looked at the work of other artists and emulated what I liked about it. So you can say they taught me.” Brom cites the work of Frank Frazetta, N.C. Wyeth, and Norman “Okay... Rockwell isn’t the kind of inspiration most people expect from me, but he just painted things so well. To me it’s not so much the genre but the way it’s done, and you have to admire his technique.” He has taught me that art is all about taking risks and being unique. I really admire his bravery to express his unusual imagination into a mind blowing artwork with a very masterful technique.

It can be inferred from his sketches that he uses a lot of surrealistic theme for his artworks. Half human as the subject with superpowers. His strokes are very soft edged and very detailed. The theme of some of his work is tribal, which is very strong in gothic, because it was originated from a tribal origin

rances was born in Valencia but spent much of her infancy in Galicia. She attended the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where she studied Fine Arts at the Facultad de Bellas Artes de San Carlos. There she started working as an illustrator while also designing various book covers and other commissioned pieces. Her illustrated book, Favole, a remembrance of Verona, Venice and Genoa, was released on 23 April 2003. It was moderately successful, but she returned to the University to continue to study art. She made her public appearance at the Salo del Comic fair in Barcelona on March 8, 2004. She toured Madrid and the U.S. the following year. Soon after, Favole II and Favole III followed. Her most recent published work is called El Corazón de Arlene (Arlene’s heart) in 2008. Her illustrations have also been featured on posters, calendars and jigsaw puzzles. Inspired by gothic Romanticism and pre-Raphaelite paintings as well as by the works of Luis Royo and Gerald Brom. I admire how her artworks emit sadness and despair within. She taught me that art is about turning your emotion, whether positive or negative into a great masterpiece.

Her sketches shows a delicate and perfectionist work. Even in sketch, she still maintains the great technique and incredible craftsmanship. Her signature feminine style with romanticism technique is what makes her style very attractive.

tokes live in Leeds in the beautiful county of Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom, with her husband Ralph, young son Leo and spinger spaniel Obi. She have been a full time artist for about 12 years. Ever since she was a child and her father read her The Hobbit, She directly loved the world of fantasy. She said that it is wonderful to be able to work as an artist and share her visions of fantasy worlds and characters with other people. She also has produced a lot of artwork for clients in the games industry, including illustrations for Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeon and Dragons rule books and miniatures. Her artworks have been licensed on a wide range of merchandise including T-shirts, posters, book covers, calendars, jigsaws, tarot cards, sculptures, CCG sleeves, mugs, jewellery and greetings cards. I admire her because just like her, I fell in love with the fantasy arts since I knew about digital paintings. The technique and the tenderness of her artworks amazes me. She reminds me that art is about doing what you love to do and what you like to imagine, and is also about turning whatever you imagine into something in reality.
