Dear Members, I have a number of updates for you today. The first is regarding the sale of the Club. We are continuing to work with one buyer of both the Club and real estate. We hope that by the end of the month or in early June we can come back to you with an announced closing date, which should be within 4-6 weeks of that announcement.
The other two updates have to do with staff changes. I am happy to announce that Assistant Golf Professional Matt Johnson is now our Head Golf Professional, effective immediately. Matt came to Winchester CC four years ago this June. Prior to that Matt was the 1st Assistant Professional at DeBell Golf Club in Burbank for 6 years. Matt has worked tirelessly for Winchester and is noted for his work with juniors and the WOWGG. Please join us in congratulating Matt and his promotion. A new arrival at the Club is Kelly Leonard. If you haven’t met Kelly yet please welcome her as she starts her role as the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. Kelly came to us from Thunder Valley after a decade of providing above and beyond service to their patrons. Please give Kelly a warm Winchester welcome when you see her around the Club.
