Feeling is Thinking An 8 week program for children experiencing difficulty in expressing their strong feelings.
Aims:
For:
• To create a safe environment for children to understand, express and manage their strong feelings • To provide children with the opportunity to develop skills that will allow them to establish & maintain positive interpersonal relationships • To assist children with healthier ways to resolve conflict • To enhance self esteem in children • To encourage children to accept responsibility for their own behaviour
Children aged 8 to 11 years (can be flexible with age)
Dates: Tuesday afternoon for 8 weeks during each school term
Time: 04:00pm - 05:30pm (All Sessions)
Venue: Hampton Park Community House 16-20 Stuart Avenue Hampton Park
Cost: There is no cost involved
This is a program developed by Royal Children’s Hospital Mental Health Service. The Feeling is Thinking group is being delivered in partnership between Hampton Park Community House and Windermere Child & Family Services.
