BIG THINGS IN STORE AS WINDERMERE APPOINTS NEW CEO Chairman Carl Strachan and the Board of Windermere Child and Family Services have announced the appointment of Dr Lynette Buoy as Chief Executive Officer. “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Lynette Buoy to the position of chief executive officer at Windermere Child and Family Services,” said Mr Strachan. “As one of Melbourne’s leading community service organisations, Windermere is entering a new and exciting phase and we look forward to working with Lynette for the future success of the organisation,” he said. Boasting a strong background in the community services sector, with an emphasis on strategy, development and implementation, Lynette’s most recent appointment was in the role of CEO at the Centre of Excellence in Child and Family Welfare – the Victorian state peak body for vulnerable children and families. With a deep understanding of state and national issues and demonstrated passion for making a difference, Lynette’s management philosophy revolves around the importance of a holistic approach to strategic planning and goal driven results. “What a privilege it is to have been offered this opportunity to work with such a well-regarded organisation. Previously, Lynette has worked for The Smith Family as General Manager in Western Australia, and prior to this was the CEO for the Lady Gowrie Child Centre (Melbourne) Inc. Lynette has also served on a number of community and educational boards and has a PhD in organisational change. Lynette will commence her position of chief executive officer at Windermere Child and Family Services on Monday 11th February 2013.
